Title
The full title of the organisation shall be Micro Magic International (MMI)
2. Objectives
The objectives of the MMI are;
- to promote and further the interests of the Micro Magic Class throughout the world.
- to encourage and co-ordinate national and international competition in the class
- to produce, manage and maintain the Micro Magic International Class rule.
3. Philosophy
- to provide f
un, fair, close International racing;
- to maintain a low cost of competition;
- to improve the quality of international competition;
- to provide enjoyment for all competitors;
- to introduce and encourage new recruits and new nations to Micro Magic sailing.
4. Language
The official language of the association is English
5. MMI recognised Nations
any Nation can be a member of MMI but only Nations that field in excess of 10 national entries at a race on their territory would be given voting rights. Once given the voting rights you can have one year where you can drop below the defined level but if the fleet does not recover for the following years you still remain a member and can join discussions but the voting rights would be lost.
6. MMI Board
The MMI board is made up from the class presidents or their representatives from each Nation recognised by the MMI. The Board members will nominate and elect a class management team. The board members can submit proposals, ideas and initiatives to the MMI board. The board members can vote on these proposals.
7. MMI class management
The MMI class management is responsible for: Running the website
Organising international events
Promotion of the class
Production of MMI Class Rules
Any other issues the board thinks appropriate.
8. Voting
Voting will be held on a special forum on http://micromagic.info
Acceptance of a proposal will be accepted by simple majority of countries with voting rights except for,
i, Class rule amendments and additions,
ii, Constitution amendments and additions:
These changes need 2/3 majority of countries with voting rights. A vote will be closed 30 days after being posted on the voting forum.
9. MMI class rules
The MMI class rules will be issued on the 1st January and shall remain unchanged for a period of 12 months.
