Race weekend in Katrineholm. A good result, but we wanted more of course!
Valla Raceway is a short, narrow and twisty track with cruel curbs, and overtaking is very difficult.

After only 2x7 min test runs we were setup for time qualifiying.
New tires and some adjustments on the kart - off we go.
Speed is all OK and we ends up at 6th place in qualifying.

In the first Heat I started 4th, on the outside, it´s always tricky.
Managed to do a good start and survived the first corner.
Ended 4th at the checkered flag.
After a DQ on a competitor in front of me I ended 3rd.

In the second Heat I started once again on the 4th position.
A tough and fun race, ended 4th.

Time for the Pre-Final.
Starts in 4th position... again :)
Manage to survive the first corner again and out at 4th place.
We have now picked up some more speed after the previous heats.
A battle for third is on-going all the 18 laps, a lot of over-takings and switch backs.
Ends as 3rd at the checkered flag.
Unfortunately I had a FF and +5 sec penalty. (Due to cruel curbs...)
In this tight heat it results I drop back to 9th position..!

Now, the Final race.
Starts from 9th position and our podium chances was heavily reduced.
In the first corner there was some incidents but I managed to get thru without any hassle. Out as 4th - Wow!
A really good start lines up for a real battle for the podium!
A furious race, again with overtakes and switch backs and some though but fair driving.
Up in 3rd, down to 4th, back to 3rd, back to 4th, and almost back to 5th...
A really fun and exciting Final race ended in 4th place.

Now back in the paddock - once again FF and +5 sec...
Moved back to 6th place.

Short summary:

Qualifying: P6 of 25 drivers
Heat 1: P4 -> P3
Heat 2: P4 -> P4
Pre-final: P4 -> P3 💪 but FF +5 sec penalty = P9
Final: P9 -> P4 but FF +5 sec penalty = P6

Overall, a good race-day, with good speed and challenges on the track.

We are now looking forward to the race track in Linköping at the beginning of September. See you there!

Swedish Championship Karting - Final report

The last day of the Swedish Championship in Karting ended on saturday 15th.

We have fought and done what we can to keep the pace! And we managed very well 💥👍👍

From a promising 5th start position in the final race everything looked exciting 😎🇸🇪💥

I had a chance for podium!!

After the restart I came out at 3rd position after 2 corners!!!
Overtaken at the 5th corner and now 4th.
Still on the 1st lap, at the 9th corner
- a high speed corner - I got a practical push in the rear and went out on the grass..! Thx for that... 😤👎

Came back out on the track at position 19 and started the chase back up in the field.
After a furious race I managed to pass the finish line at 10th place.

Unfortunately I had a front fairing resulting in +5 sec penalty.

After all, I managed to pass the finish line, but P12 in the Swedish Championship was not our expectations 🫣

Me and my team really did everything possible to reach the podium, but…

Swedish Championship Race Update!

After some practice days with a lot of testing and possibilities we have now ended the 4th day of Qualifying and Heats.

50 starting participants in the Junior 125 class has now challenged the track during these days.
Final Driver presentation starts 15 July at 09:45!!! 🇸🇪👊

Qualifying went not as we wanted, but yet in top 15 👍

Personal best with 0.9 sec and pace is building ⬆️.

MKR Karting - Järfälla

3rd round of MKR series and I ended 4th 👊 out of 34 starting drivers.

This was a challanging competition with a super grippy track!
We did everything in our power to follow the lead and we are proud to accomplish a 4th position at the end of the day.

Time Qualy: 7th
Heat 1: P5 > P4
Heat 2: P5 > P4
Pre-Final: P5 > P5
Final: P5 > P4

MKR Karting - Borlänge

PODIUM! 🏁🇸🇪 3rd of 30 drivers!
A really fun and exciting Raceday with fair and tough races. Our pace evolved during the day and our speed was very competitive at the end.

Time Qualy: 7th
Heat 1: P7 > P6
Heat 2: P7 > P7 (5th but +5 sec penalty)
Pre-Final: P6 > P5
Final: P5 > P3
