Some impressions from the current training sessions with Tokumura Kensho sensei. Under his guidance, students from Chile, Sweden, and mainland Japan have been reviewing the fundamentals of Sai, Tekko, Bo and Eku with more to come.

In good spirit and absolute clarity about his expectations, Tokumura sensei has been patience enough to explain and direct the training in the most productive way for everyone involved.

The team looks forward to go back to our regular training sessions and pass on to our students the fundamentals and corrections made by Tokumura sensei.

As usual, we take the time and dedicate some training sessions to the more advance and challenging part of the Tokushinryū curriculum so everyone can test technical and specific weapons principles that can be transferred from simple to advance weapons.

The last few sessions has been dedicated to transfer techniques to Nunchaku and Sansetsukōn and today we had some Isshinryū students who are working on their Nunchaku no Kata skills.

Thank you everyone for their enthusiasm and energy during this past sessions.

We welcome and congratulate Mr. Alexander Ziliakus, Shorinryū Seibukan Finland student who underwent an intensive training period within the framework of a special introductory program to Tokushinryū Kobudō, the first step of which was the examination for the rank of 5th kyū.

As a black belt student of Jack Stone sensei in Helsinki, Finland (Shorinryū Seibukan group under the direction of Kim Mitrunen sensei), Mr. Ziliakus was stationed in Stockholm Sweden for a 7 months period in which he took part of the regular trainings at Seishinkan Budō School and got his first hand Tokushinryū training directly under Diego Rodriguez sensei, later assisted by senpai Menno Djik who took a mentorship role.

With a clear ability to transfer the powerful Seibukan karate background into his kobudō, Mr. Ziliakus successfully completed the first step of his journey with a good understanding of the Tokushinryū Kobudō basics of Tokumura Kensho Sensei.

We wish him success in his return to Helsinki, Finland and in the continuation of his assigned Tokushinryū Kobudō tasks within the frame of his introductory program.

Once a month takes place a 2 hours session fully dedicated to go deeper into one section fo the curriculum alongside the Isshinryū kobudō students who are currently taking their first steps into the kobudō curriculum for their respective ranks. The session propels a singular dynamic of interaction and support from the kobudoka with more experience towards those starting their journeys into this martial art: "teaching is learning twice"

We extend our appreciation to all the budoka for their dedication and enthusiasm in their respective journeys.
