Stockholm Ladies Weekend is an annual womens chess tournament taking place in August or September every year. This year it will be played August 31 – September 1. First prize is 8.000 SEK or about 660 euros. Last years winner was Maria Anna Stefanidi from Greece. Here is more information about the tournament and how to enter the tournament. Welcome to the second edition of The Chess Tournament
Stockholm Ladies Weekend for women by Stockholm Chess Federation

Date: Saturday 31st of August and 1st of September 2024

Format: 7 rounds Swiss.

Time limit: 30 min + 10 seconds /move

Playing venue: Stockholms Schacksalonger, Ringvägen 9 C, Stockholm, Sweden

Schedule Saturday August 31st; Round 1 kl 13.00, round 2 kl 14.30, round 3 kl 16.15 and round 4 kl 18:00

Schedule Sunday September 1st; Round 5 kl 10.30, round 6 kl 12:15 round 7 kl 14:00.

Prizes (SEK) 1st prize 8.000 Sek 2nd prize 4.000 Sek 3rd prize 2.000 Sek 4-5th prizes 800 Sek

There will a cash prises of 500 Sek for the best player born 2004 and later, 2008 and later and 2012 and later and to the best senior +65 years

Entry fee (SEK) Seniors 500 Sek Players born 2004 and later 250 Sek. WGM and WIM free entry.
