THE PATHWAY PROJECT – WORLD CUP EDITION is proud to announce Alexander from Djurgårdens IF 🇸🇪 as our third coach for the Melbourne event.

Alex has been part of our academy coaching environment since 2023.

A former player within our academy, Alex has transitioned into coaching and continues to establish himself as one of the club’s up-and-coming young coaches.

Currently leading in the Girls Academy program, Alex also plays an important role across both the boys and girls sections of the academy, assisting with older age groups and contributing to the overall development environment.

His versatility, professionalism, and ability to work across multiple age groups and programs make him a valued part of our coaching structure and The Pathway Project environment.

Known for his modern European methodology, professionalism, and attention to detail, Michael has developed a reputation for producing intelligent, technically refined, and tactically disciplined players. His experience spans academy football, elite youth development, international school programs, and high-performance coaching environments.

Throughout his career, Michael has consistently demonstrated a strong ability to improve players individually while building competitive and development-focused team environments. His coaching philosophy centres around developing complete footballers — players who are technically secure, tactically adaptable, mentally resilient, and capable of thriving within the demands of the modern game.

Michael’s international experience, combined with his passion for long-term player development, makes him an outstanding addition to the ATHLETIC FOOTBALL GROUP environment.

Pavan (Pavlidis)

National Scout – Derby County

Pavan currently works within the national recruitment structure at Derby County, identifying elite talent across the U13–U18 age groups throughout England.
Leading a network of scouts nationally, he reports directly into the club’s Head of Recruitment while also contributing within Derby’s Talent Centre environment as a coach.

Prior to Derby, Pavan held senior recruitment responsibilities at Crewe Alexandra FC, progressing from Midlands Coordinator into Assistant Head of Recruitment within one of England’s respected Category 2 academies.

With experience across elite recruitment, academy environments, player identification, and international scouting, Pavan represents the modern profile of high-level talent recruitment in the professional game.

Thierry brings extensive experience from one of Europe’s most respected football environments, AS Monaco.

A former professional goalkeeper, he has spent the past eight years working within the AS Monaco academy system, helping develop young goalkeepers at an elite level.

Known for his professionalism, attention to detail, and passion for player development, Thierry will play an important role within The Pathway Project.
