My name is Andrej Kerpan, I am an FCI International both conformation and Lure Coursing judge and for FCI group IV and X, as well as a conformation judge for 10 breeds of group V.

The first breed I became involved with was the Irish Wolfhound. At that time, I gave priority to showing and took part in many shows around Europe with very pleasing results. My dogs went to BIS several times. With one of them achieving the World Champion title (Vienna 1996), coowned with my ex wife. But I love a good challenge too, so I also trained my wolfhounds for obedience until we got the first obedience certificate ever awarded to a sighthound in the history of Slovenia.

I m focused on Whippets and with my dogs I take part in show and coursing events on a regular basis with excellent results. For example in 2015 one of my whippets became European Coursing Champion at her very first European championship event, at the age of 20 months.

I have been a member of the Sighthound Club of Slovenia for a very long time. Additionally, I have been a member of its Board for over 20 years and I am currently still on the coursing committee. In this function, I have been one of the promoters of lure coursing from its very start in Slovenia, and have successfully organised many International coursing events in Slovenia and abroad.

I am Lecturer of Lure Coursing and FCI X. Group.

Last few years Im publishing articles about dogs on a regular basis in the authoritative Slovenian scientific magazin for juniors Moj Planet.

During the last years I have been invited to host dedicated seminars for Lure Coursing enthusiasts in several European and non-European countries, and have officiated as a conformation judge in over 20 different countries.

Im looking forward to be part of EDS 2024 in Brno.

Celebration of successful candidacy for European dog show 2025 for Czech republic…. See you in Brno EUROPEAN DOG SHOW 2025 APRIL 10TH /13TH Brno (CZECH REPUBLIC)
Allow me to extend an invitation on behalf of Českomoravská kynologická unie (ČMKU) to the European Dog Show of all breeds. It will take place from April 10, 2025, to April 13, 2025, at the BVV Brno Exhibition Centre. This isn't the first European Dog Show that the Czech Republic has had the privilege to host. The inaugural event took place in 2014, attracting 14,652 dogs representing over 300 breeds and varieties. Additionally, 6,212 individuals were registered for the National Dog Show, which ran concurrently.
Feedback from the 2014 European Dog Show, both from judges and exhibitors, was exceedingly positive. It was evident that participants, both domestic and international, thoroughly enjoyed their time in Brno. This comes as no surprise, given Brno's charm and accessibility, coupled with the excellent facilities of the BVV Brno Exhibition Centre, which provide an ideal setting for such events.
We are confident that the European Dog Show in 2025 will attract a similar number of exhibitors. Esteemed judges from around the world have been invited to officiate. As in 2014, a National Dog Show will run concurrently, offering participants the opportunity to achieve Czech Championships.
The Českomoravská kynologická unie (ČMKU) looks forward to welcoming registered dogs and their companions, as well as spectators. We believe that everyone will depart with fond memories and a greater appreciation for the international standing of our Czech cynology.

🌟 **Profile of the Judge:**
- **Judging License:** KZS FCI All Breed Judge
- **Experience in Breeding and Showing:🇸🇮Štefan embarked on his journey in breeding and exhibiting English Bulldogs back in 1979, the same year he launched his kennel. Since then, he has successfully bred numerous national and international champions, including Bulldogs that have earned accolades as FCI European and World winners.
**Other Breeds in His Care:** Airedale Terriers, Basset Hounds, Dogo Argentino, and Great Danes.
🎖️Judging Experience: Since 1986, Štefan has officiated at championship levels across all continents in more than 90 countries worldwide. His esteemed judging roles include FCI European Winner Shows and World Winner Shows in cities such as Vienna, Brno, Budapest, Porto, Dortmund, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Poznan, Stockholm, Bratislava, Herning, Milan, Moscow, Leipzig, Amsterdam, Shanghai, and Madrid. Noteworthy is his judging at the prestigious Crufts Show in the UK in 2004, where he evaluated 210 entries of native breed Bulldogs, as well as the renowned Eukanuba World Challenge Show in the USA in 2006.
**Contributions to Cynophilia:** Štefan was the first democratically elected President of the Slovenian Kennel Club, serving from 1992 to 1997 after the country’s independence. He is also the founding president of both the Slovenian Molosser Club and the Slovenian Terrier Club. Currently, he holds a position on the FCI Show and Judges Committee and has served as Vice President of the FCI Judges Committee. From 2019 until May 15, 2022, he was the President of the Slovenian Kennel Club.🇸🇮
