Our training and studies within the Lau Family system continiue and are very fruitful! The technical detaljes and strategies makes a huge difference from before. My Sifu, GM Mark Houghton's skill and experiance are world class in all aspects. I am greatful everyday that he accepted me as his student. When we have our grand opening next semester (januari -22), we are exited and belive that students that will return after this pandemic are in for a very nice positive suprice! ;)

Friday at last! First a regular workingday helping unemployed ppl out on the labour market. Then after that I will keep learning and develop my Hung Gar at my next private lesson this afternoon with Mark Houghton Sifu of the Lau Family Hung Kuen.

Never settle! Keep pushing your self, the knowledge and skills forward. That's what Kung Fu is all about! Don't let this pandemic be an excuse to give up your training! Let it be the excuse of working harder. Ether you find a way, or you find an excuse!

My school, Scandinavian Hung Fist Academy have adapt and offers online classes/correspondance packages/private lessons like everyone else now days and will continiue doing so as a combination with regular classes when this pandemic is over.

Today I participated in the big ceremony when the organisation Wushu Kung Fu Veteran Masters (MVWK) formally started up. Many great masters from all over the world was guests and spoke at this event. One of these masters was Sifu Pedro Cepero Yee.

This is a great initiative for promoting traditional Chinese Martial arts as so much more than a sport.

I believe that the Chinese polearm weapon, the Ji was the historical correct true combat Kwan Do. The legend tells that the genius warlord combined the two most feared weapons, the dagger axe and the spear. Isn't it very close to the legend when Kwan Yu combines the the pole with the sabre?! The Kwan Do as we know it has only historically been used as an military officers test of power. When I perform my Kwan Do sets with my Ji, it fits perfectly in its movements and the applications make more sense.
