F2 World Championship gives an positive update on Andre Solvang

«An update from San Nazzaro»

Yesterday's Grand Prix of Italy was stopped following racing accidents. Race officials decided it would not be right to continue, with competitors still in shock.

André Solvang was placed in an induced coma after the incident and airlifted for treatment.

This morning brought positive news: he has been taken off the ventilator and has woken up.

He does not remember the accident itself, and while that's disorientating for him, doctors say it's a positive sign for the most critical thing, how his brain has come through this.

The next 48 hours will tell us more, but this is the news everyone has been hoping for.

Second place for us in Poland after excellent weekend i Rogozno. Congratulations to the two italians taking first in both 125 & 250 we are very tired of the italian anthem now. Very up and down season but we end almost on top. Big thank you to all the sponsors for your support, see you next year.

Pretty good quali but the engine decided in its last race to quit the team so we have replaced it and have to start last.
