🚩 Another important milestone for Marstrand Big Boat Race.
We are proud to announce that the 2027 Marstrand Big Boat Race will also host the ORCi Swedish Championship.
This is a significant step in our long-term ambition to establish Marstrand as one of Northern Europe's premier venues for ORC racing. Since introducing ORC to the event, we have focused on building the regatta step by step—raising the competitive level, attracting stronger fleets, and creating a world-class racing experience both on and off the water.
Hosting the ORCi Swedish Championship in 2027 is a natural next step in that journey.
Our sights are already set on the future:
🏆 ORCi European Championship 2028
🌍 ORCi World Championship 2029
There is still much work ahead, and we know we are not there yet. The feedback survey from this year's event clearly shows that there are areas where we can improve and continue to develop the event. At the same time, we are encouraged that the overall response from both sailors and partners has been overwhelmingly positive, with a strong majority expressing their intention to return next year.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Swedish Offshore Sailing Association for their confidence in our organization and our vision for the future. Their trust and support are invaluable as we continue our journey toward hosting future ORC championships at the highest international level.
We also want to thank our competitors, partners, officials, volunteers, and the entire sailing community for helping us build something special in Marstrand. Every edition of the event teaches us something new, and every year we take another step forward.
We look forward to welcoming Sweden's best ORC and Melges24 team to Marstrand in 2027.
