Vi hoppas att festivalen kan bli fler gånger i framtiden. Roller Derby är en sport som har vuxit lavinartat i Sverige och Världen. Det är idrott för alla. I Malmö har intresset för Roller Derby tagit en väldig fart och vi i CCR & MRRD vill visa upp för allmänheten hur spelet går till och vad det går ut på. Därför arrangerar vi denna festival i år igen. e vid havet, det är en öppen park och är Europas näst största utomhus skatingpark. Dessutom Europas första fasta utomhus Derbybana. Festivalen kommer vara öppen för alla, dvs. inget inträde. Festivalen kommer att hålla Malmö Cup, ha Dj's, Night Skate Malmö, Roller Disco, Derby Modevisning, uppträdanden, aktiviteter för barn. Försäljning av mat och dryck, dock inte alkohol, kommer att föregå. Möjligheter att prova på sporter som Kettlebell, utomhus gym, Hoola hoops och Roller Derby kommer också att finnas gratis under dessa dagar. Vi kommer ha en Malmö Cup, en Merbymatch (herrlag) och två mixade matcher för de som inte spelar i cupen. Inbjudningar och hur anmälan kommer gå till kommer att skickas ut under Mars månad. Derbyfestival in Malmö! We hope there will be a festival again in the future.
12-14 of July (2016) there will be Malmö Roller Derby Festival! Roller Derby is an upcoming sport in Sweden as well as in the whole world. It's mainly a womens sport but mens teams are starting to develop. The interest for Roller Derby in Malmö has grown rapidly and we in CCR & MRRD want to give the opportunity for everyone to learn what Roller Derby is all about. That's why we want to do this Festival again this year. Stapelbäddsparken is located in Västra Hamnen down by the ocean, and it's an public park, Europes second largest outdoor skatingpark. It also has Europes only permanent outdoor Derbytrack. The Festival is open for everyone and free of charge. The Festival will be presenting live music from two scenes and Dj's, Night Skate Malmö, Roller Disco, Derby Fashion Show, performanses, activities for children and lectures about sports and health. There will be sales of food and drinks (not any alcohol). There will be opportunity to try sports like Kettlebell, Ruffie, outdoor gym, acrobatics, Capoeira and Roller Derby, all for free. A Malmö Cup will be held. Also an merbygame and two mixedteam games for those who aren't participating any of the other games. Invitations and information how to apply will be sent out during March.
