Badgers Bounce Back in GFA League at weekend. After losing first match we re-grouped and coach Tracey tweeked the tactics and we ended up winning the other two matches and everyone is absolutely buzzing 👏 🦡🐾🦡🐾

With a couple of Badgers at training camp with England and KC squads and others out with long term injuries I am chuffed to report we still sent two teams to the Caldicot Tourney where we enjoyed a fabulous time playing football and catching up with all our pals. Some really great performances with players taking themselves out of their comfort zones and excelling well done squad!

Sunday without football but didn't stop Badgers hooking up in Bristol for a marvellous mystery tour, even if it was a bit like herding cats at times, a lush time with excellent people x

Yesterday saw the Badgers travel to a very hot Devizes for the final round of matches in the Wiltshire League.

With a Win, two Draws and one close Defeat, and having only conceding the one goal all day, we proudly finished the season as Runners Up.

A MASSIVE thank you to all the Badgers who played their part across the whole league season, it’s always a squad effort for the Badgers and every player has contributed in securing that final Runners Up position.

Congratulations go to Melksham Ladies who had a fantastic and unbeaten league campaign and were worthy winners 👏🏻.

We've gone behind the scenes of Bristol Badger Fay Maitland and her company Dynamik Sports Flooring who got the big huge gig of everything involved in the flooring at this year's COMMONWEALTH GAMES!!
In Fay's words "We were responsible for the design, construction, installation, operational support, and post-Games decommissioning of multiple sporting venues and competition surfaces for the Commonwealth Games.
Key deliverables included:
Athletics Facilities: Designed and constructed both the indoor and outdoor athletics tracks to World Athletics standards, ensuring they met all requirements for elite international competition. This included the installation of specialist athletics equipment and turf overlays.
Basketball Facilities: worked with com games to design and then manufacture and install a new competition basketball court, together with dedicated warm-up courts to support athlete preparation and Games operations.

Netball: Installed four netball courts for both competition and training use, delivering high-performance playing surfaces to international standards.

Weightlifting and judo: Supplied and installed specialist undercarriage systems for judo and weightlifting, providing protection, stability, and performance support for athletes and equipment.

Gymnastics: Installed the competition carpet and associated flooring infrastructure required for international gymnastics events.

Bowls Facilities: Designed and installed the bowls rinks, creating high-quality competition facilities suitable for elite-level play.

Games Time Operations: Provided comprehensive Games-time support services across athletics, netball, basketball, and bowls, ensuring venues operated effectively throughout the competition period.

Post-Games Decommissioning: Managed the safe and efficient removal, restoration, and decommissioning of temporary sporting infrastructure following the completion of the Games"
It's no wonder she hasn't been training, Fay this is soooo impressive 🦡 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

Here at Badgers HQ we are extremely proud of our top baller and club sponsor Fay Maitland
Her company Dynamik Sports Flooring are responsible for the flooring at this year's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, including athletics, basketball and gymnastics.
She's been working incredibly hard with her team behind the scenes and the insane logistics involved.
We'll share some pics and updates as the tournament progresses but we are wishing her all the luck in the World as she battles exhaustion and deadlines.

Hats off to our lovely Badgers playing for the South West today in the Superleague. Sarah Treweek captaining the 60s team, and Jo Stocks & Tracey Langford playing for the 50s and getting all three of their squads goals 👏 couldn't be more proud of them, so well deserved..🦡🦡

Summer Road Trips this weekend with players heading South West to the Bensons Wetsward Ho! tournament (which was awesome, so much high quality football followed by a dip in the sea), and Northeast (ish) to the Wilts FA League matchday (only ONE goal conceded and one game lost out of 6, raising standards again). Thanks to all involved for giving up your time for the badger cause.

In case you missed it 😉 Tweeky went to Malmo and won a big, huge trophy with her Wotnots Team a group of 60 + South West women thrown together for their brilliance and loveliness, beating teams who have played together many times before and also an England select team, so cool, bringing home the Sweden Summer Trophy 🏆
