Cuban Salsa is danced on 1, meaning that you on the first count the leader takes a step forward and the follower a step backward. The couple rotate clockwise during the dance. There is big room for improvisation, which often leads to fun entangled patterns. Bachata - A sensual dance originally from the Dominican Republic. It has developed into several different styles and common traits are close partnerwork and smooth movements that fits the slower music. Salsa with Rueda - Originate from Cuba. This style of Salsa is danced in a circle with several couples. A caller choose the dance moves by shouting out the name of the move in Spanish and the rest of the group follow. Change of partners around the circle occur often. Many moves are theatrical and contains clapping, shouting and stamping, creating an hilarious atmosphere. An easy way to make new friends! NOTE: This course works fine as an introductory course to Salsa. Many of the moves works directly in ordinary couple Salsa. Ladystyling - A class where to have fun and only for the ladies, preferably with some dancing experience from previous semesters. The classes will focus on adding the little extra to the dancing and practice good techniques in how to follow the leader in partnerwork, spinning technique, music interpretation, footwork, styling and much more. THIS SPRING
Welcome to a fun and brand new semester with SALSA AMOR! This spring there will be a lot of fun things going on. We will have courses in Salsa, Salsa with Rueda as well as Bachata. The courses will all be held at Hallands Nation in their beautiful hall Åsen, as well as in the big Sparta Sports hall. No Student ID required!

All improver/intermediate courses need pre-registration latest Saturday 3 February. The spots are limited, so please register as soon as possible.

The beginner courses are free first time - so come and try out how it is. However, the spots are still limited, so to be guaranteed a spot, you have to pre-register.

We will have two course rounds, the first one in February-March, and the second one in April-May. Also, we are gonna have many dance events were you can practice and enjoy the dance life!
