We are happy to present Maniu Dragoș Adrian as a new abstract presenter at WADC Learn to Swim. The title of his abstract is: "Water Accommodation in Children with Cerebral Palsy (CP)". The abstract is written together with Maniu Emese Agnesa.
Maniu Dragoș Adrian is a distinguished academic and professional in the field of physical education, sports science, and physical therapy. He has been a lecturer at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, "Babeș-Bolyai" University, Cluj-Napoca, since 2015, following a tenure as an assistant professor from 2008 to 2015. His expertise is rooted in theoretical disciplines and physical therapy, with a strong focus on neuromotor reeducation and adaptive physical activities.
Dr. Adrian's professional achievements include serving as the second coach of Romania's National Paralympic Swimming Team (2009–2012), where he guided athletes to notable successes, including qualifications for the London 2012 Paralympic Games, multiple medals at the IBSA World Championships (2011), and the European IPC Championships (2011).
With a PHD in Medical Sciences, he has specialized in adaptive hydrotherapy for neuromotor reeducation in children with cerebral palsy. His scholarly work reflects a deep commitment to advancing therapies and interventions for individuals with disabilities.
