The 2026 Orienteering World Cup standings still have Simona Aebersold (SUI) and Tuomas Heikkilä (FIN) in the lead after an action-packed second round in Skara and Lidköping, Sweden, where athletes contested a Knock-Out Sprint, an individual Sprint and a Sprint Relay from Thursday to Sunday.

A thrilling Sprint World Cup race in Skara, Sweden, saw the favourites deliver outstanding performances. Simona Aebersold 🇨🇭 dominated the women’s race with a flawless run and a convincing 22-second victory, while 🇳🇴 Kasper Fosser controlled the men’s race and went on to win by 12 seconds.

New leaders in the CX80 MTBO World Cup after the European MTBO Championships 2026 in Portugal.

Now Hannes Hnilica 🇦🇹 and Elvira Larsson 🇸🇪 top the standings before the final round at the World MTBO Championships in August.

Austrian MTBO star Hannes Hnilica has taken a commanding lead in the CX80 MTBO World Cup standings after the European MTBO Championships in Portugal. In the women’s category, Sweden’s Elvira Larsson continued her steady performance and takes over the lead.
