Swim the Arctic Circle

Swim the Arctic Circle Unique open water swim race where you swim in the midnight sun, crosses country boundaries and the arctic circle. En unik simtävling! Simma bakåt i tiden!

Kom och spräng gränser i Öppetvatten simtävlingen i Torneälven. Hos oss simmar du såväl över riksgränsen som över Polcirkeln och tidszonen. Välkommen att spränga även dina egna gränser. I den längre 3000 meters tävlingen har du stor chans att nå målet dagen före tävlingsdagen. Javisst! Två sträckor att välja på. Sträckorna du kan simma är 1500 och 3000 meter. 3000 meters tävlingen sker tvärs över riksgränsen vid midnatt från Finland till Sverige.

The planning for 2026-event started and we will welcome you Saturday 11th of July to Swim the Arctic Circle. 🏊‍♂️

Registration starts on the 11th of January 2026 at 20:00 (8 p.m.) Swedish time. 💫

151 swimmers from 19 different countries swam 3 km from Finland to Sweden, over the Arctic Circle and many were at the finnish line before they started. 🇫🇮🇸🇪🔵

We are still melting the fantastic Swim the Arctic Circle last saturday (also melting a bit because of the very warm weather). 🌞
