Such a great day we had today! ☘️

In today’s event “Ireland for kids through dance and stories” organised by the West Coast Swedish-Irish Society and Nova Klubb, we followed Sarah Wills Carlsson in the reading of her book “l’ttle Bear Adventures in Ireland” both in English, Swedish and Ukrainian. Since the story mentions Irish Dance, of course we couldn’t left the dance part aside! We learned an easy version of a group dance and we had so much fun! Thank you so much for this invitation. 🥰

Important News! ☘️
This Autumn we’ll be having a whole semester of Irish Dance for adult beginners in Dansforum Göteborg !!! 🥳 Isn’t it fantastic? Just contact Dans Forum to sign up. Classes will start on Monday the 7th of September, but there is a “prova på” the 24th of August if you want to give it a try. Classes are from 19:45 to 20:45 on Mondays. If you have any questions just visit dansforum.se where you can also send them a message (both in English and Swedish).

And this is just one of the many things we are looking forward this semester, so stay tuned! 🤩

As I mentioned before I wanted to make a series of posts to help to navigate the Irish Dance world for everyone approaching Irish Dance for the first time, which can be a little bit overwhelming… So here we are! The first one of my section: Irish Dance 101. ☘️

Some footage of the lovely presentation we had in Näsets Kyrkan the 14th of June. I’m so thankful for this invitation from Anna Walz .turnout, an amazing Irish Dancer from Germany, to join her in this lovely Irish Evening. Also, I would like to thank Aija and and the whole congregation for organising this event. Thanks also to the musicians from TIMSIG that provided traditional Irish music live for the occasion. Thanks to who took some of the videos, otherwise I wouldn’t have a register of myself dancing 😅 And of course thanks to everyone who attended and joined us for the Ceili workshops, we had so much fun! Until the next time! ☘️

Thanks to everyone who joined us at the summer Drop-ins, we had a blast! Only good vibes and a lot of fun! If you want more of this or you have decided to give Irish Dance a try, then let me tell you that Monday the 24th of August we’ll be having a “prova-po” at 19:30 at DANSFORUM in Göteborg, then you’ll have the chance to sign up for a whole semester in the autumn starting the 7th of September.
