I’m rerunning for the Athletes Commission
During the last two years I have joined the Athletes Commission and had the opportunity to be part of this group. It has been inspiring and I have learnt a lot throughout this journey. During the time I have been a member of the committee, I have also been an active competitor in Synchronized Figure Skating and competed for Team Surprise, Sweden. As a skater you always have a certain view and you see things in other ways. I think this is an important part and something I have been able to contribute to in our technical committee that I have had a dialogue with. There is still a lot that I know can develop and it would be an honor to represent you for the upcoming four years.

Idag har vi ett stort och vemodigt beslut att dela med oss av. Vi kommer inte längre att tävla och Team Surprise kommer att läggas ner. Detta beslut har vuxit fram genom åren och det har inte varit lätt att ta. Vi är ett av de mest framgångsrika lagen genom synkrons historia med flertalet VM medaljer och är oerhört stolta över vad Team Surprise står för. Andrea och vi som lag har alltid velat utmana sporten och våga testa gränserna för att se hur långt man kan gå. Vi har inte alltid valt den enkla vägen. Mer om vårt beslut och det fortsatta arbetet kan ni läsa i Skateswedens kanaler.

Andrea, du har alltid varit en viktig och stor inspirationskälla till oss. Du har lärt oss om hur vi ska uppträda både på isen och utanför som åkare men också som människa. Vi har alltid vetat att du funnits där för oss 24/7 och har alltid varit en extra mamma till oss alla. Vi kan inte tacka dig tillräckligt för allt som du har gjort för oss och alla de minnen vi delar med dig. Vi älskar dig!

Vi vill tacka alla er som stöttat och gett oss kärlek genom åren och vi hoppas att vi inspirerat och berört er på vägen. Tro på er själva och våga testa era gränser. Ingenting är omöjligt.

Today we have a big and heavy-hearted announcement to make. Team Surprise will no longer be competing and will sadly be coming to an end. This is a decision that has grown over the past few years and it has not been a easy one. We are one of the most successful teams in the history of synchro, with the most World Championship medals. We are very proud of what Team Surprise stands for and what we as a team have done for the sport. Andrea and us, have all wanted to challenge the sport and dare to test the limits to see how far we can go. We have not always chosen the easy way. You can read more about our decision and continued work on Skatesweden's channels.

Andrea, you have always been a big inspiration to us! You have taught us how to act, not only on the ice but even in all that we do outside of our time as athletes. You have been there for us 24/7 and you are an extra mother to each and every one of us. We can’t thank you enough for everything you have done and taught us and we will be taking these skills and all the special memories with us through the rest of our lives. We love you!

We want to thank all of you who have given us continued love and support throughout the years and we hope we have given you something to aspire to. Believe in yourselves and dare to test your boundaries. Nothing is impossible.
