I do not practice yoga to be physically flexible, but mentally steady.
Given that yoga is about the mind and mental ease, stability, strength, peace and stillness is what we strive for.
But how do the poses help us get there? Well they don’t.
On their own, mixed and mashed together, they create a bigger mess than before. Resulting in an inner conflicting emotional environment, mental unsteadiness, restlessness, distorted vision of life and our choices, a constant need for pleasure seeking and escaping.
And if that is the case, how do we get to that sense of wholeness and relaxed homeostasis?
