Helena has two main reasons for wanting to be stronger:

1) To help her golf game ⛳️ and to be able to play for longer

2) To remain physically independent as she gets older.

The 80kg deadlift she did today - we started at 40kg - will defintely help both 💪

The race for complexity within the fitness world is, more often than not, a race to the bottom.

And a personal trainer/coach that has their client do 17 rubber band drills in lieu of something that can actually be, and therefore drive, progress, may very well win that race.

It’s rather remarkable, what can happen when training is kept simple, with the focus being on you making clear and measurable progress. It’s human nature to enjoy getting better at things, even if (especially if) it requires a bit of hard work.

And the barbell, a simple piece of steel that you can put weights on, is still one of the best (if not the best) tool we have for your training to be as effective, rewarding and fun as possible.

It's been a strong February.

New records were set, new lifts we learned, and we all took steps forward to getting stronger; being able to lift more weight than we could before.

Our approach to training is a simple and straightforward one. A traditional and understated one.

It might not make you 'social media famous', but it will make you stronger. And that's all we care about.
