Senior team finished off strong 👍
As well as our doubles team picking up a win to finish round robin off ☺️

In the last game of the World Seniors Curling Championship, Ostersund 2018 for the Senior Team Israel - Curling we've beaten Poland and finished with 3 wins and 3 losses, fourth place in our group, just one win short of playoffs.

Polish team actually played pretty well and with some luck and precisely placed guards they were able to steal a point from us in two first ends. It actually required a pretty touch runback from Kevin only to cut them down to one in the second end. In the third end we played better but had to settle for one after another well positioned guard from their skip blocked for us a path for a draw and a second point. But from there things went better for us while Poland wasn't able to keep up with their level of play. We were able to lie 3 guarded rocks in the fourth end and their skip was only able to remove one and we stole two points.

We kept stealing points after the break: one in fifth and one in sixth ends. In the seventh they had a draw for two but were heavy. Up two with hammer in the eighth end we managed to keep the house open and Kevin finished the game with an easy hit for one.

Our senior team had good efforts against Denmark. Unfortunately, It didn’t go as planned. As for the doubles team, a weak 3rd end put them chasing a very strong Scottish team.
Time to get some rest and get ready for another big game tomorrow against Hong Kong Seniors & Spain for the Doubles team.

At the eve of State of Israel's 70th anniversary the Israel Senior Men and Mixed Double teams are heading to Ostersund, Sweden for the Worlds championships and .

Game 1 in the mixed doubles WCT Listowel event was a success ! A nice 8-4 win against Liscumb/Liscumb.
Next game is against the 2014 former Canadian champion Tuck/Tuck at 12:00 EST.
