Something a little different in the workshop this week!

I usually focus on making climbing volumes, but I recently got the opportunity to build the front panel for the new reception desk at .

Super happy and honored they asked me to take this on!

The final piece matches the clean aesthetic of their recent volumes perfectly, and I think the final result is going to look incredible installed.

Below is a bit of the process.

Old volumes don’t die—they just wait for a glow-up.

Every well-loved volume has a story, but there comes a point where ”broken-in” just feels ”burnt out.”

Most people think a refurb is just a fresh coat of texture, but if you’re willing to give them some extra love and care, you can turn a basic box into a high-end masterpiece.

By precision-masking and sanding specific faces down to a high-grit polish, you get that soft and slick feeling that defines modern climbing.

It’s the ultimate contrast: one side gives you all the bite, the other gives you absolutely nothing.

Don’t retire your wood—reinvent it.

A first look at the new fiberglass line?

I’ve been working on some new fiberglass shapes lately, and I’m really happy with how this first sample turned out.

It’s hopefully the start of a new line I’m developing, and so far, the quality feels solid and sturdy.

One thing that makes these a bit different is the use of green epoxy. Compared to the standard polyester usually found in the industry, the epoxy has a slightly lower environmental footprint. It also gives the shape a bit more flexibility, which helps it sit better against the wall.

Overall, it just feels really nice and climbable. A big shoutout to and for helping me dial in this specific pigment—the color came out exactly how I’d hoped.

More to come eventually.

New Shapes Alert!

We’re excited to unveil two brand-new volume shapes developed in collaboration with .

While they might feel familiar in character, their elegance and versatility set them apart.

These models are designed to be stackable, allowing for seamless transitions and creative setting possibilities. Whether you need them small or large, we can produce them in any size to fit your wall’s needs!

Sustainability in focus: The ”Off-Cut” Volume:
In the video, you’ll also see a third, smaller volume. This is a perfect example of our ”off-cut” philosophy.

We use the leftover material from your orders to create smaller versions of the same shape. This maximizes material usage, reduces waste, and gives you a high-quality volume at a fraction of the original price.

Stay tuned! These shapes will soon be added to our portfolio and order form in 3-4 different standard sizes.

From Custom Favorite to Portfolio Staple

After years of custom requests, this Low-Profile Triangle has finally earned its permanent spot in the core lineup.

Why it has earned its place:

• Ultra-Sleek: Technical depth without the bulk.
• Space-Saving: Maximize your wall’s potential.
• Smarter Builds: High-volume orders allow us to turn offcuts into bonus volumes—minimal waste, maximum value at a fraction of the cost.

Streamlined. Versatile. Proven.

With some world leaders acting impulsively and creating uncertainty across the markets, you can clearly feel the effects across many industries — and climbing gyms are no exception. A lot of projects right now are focused on renovations as operators navigate tighter conditions.

That’s why it feels especially rewarding when new production orders come in. Not only does it bring variation to the work, but it’s also inspiring to see climbing gyms that can and dare to invest in the future despite the uncertainty.

Grateful to be part of building spaces where climbing communities can keep growing.

This volume carries a story.

Produced in 2014–2015 by , it received its first renovation in 2020. Now, in 2026, it has gone through its second renovation — and remains structurally sound, ready for more years of service.

That says something important.

High-quality volumes are built for longevity. They can handle multiple renovation cycles, extending both performance and lifespan. Lower-quality volumes often struggle to make it through even one.

This is what real sustainability looks like:
Long life cycle. Structural durability. Sound economics. Less waste.

Invest once in quality, and the product keeps paying back over time.

Built to last. Built to be renewed.

Want to know what quality looks like?

This is it.

Buy quality. Cry once.

Sometimes you need to perform a little surgery…

Luckily, this time it wasn’t my thumb getting the full treatment — even though I tried my best yesterday with the table saw. A few stitches later and it’s still attached, so we’ll call that a win.

No, today’s patient was something else entirely: these old fiberglass shapes. Years of hard work had blown out the screw holes, so it was time for some reinforcement and a bit of structural “reconstruction.”

Let’s just say… the shapes went through a slightly bigger transformation than my thumb did.

Both should soon be ready for a long life ahead — one slightly more stitched, the other slightly more reinforced.

Bread and butter volumes are the backbone of any set — simple, reliable, essential.

But essential doesn’t have to mean boring.
By shaping the slippery zones with organic lines and a dual-tex finish, we add flow, movement, and just enough visual tension to keep things interesting on the wall.

Function first.
Character built in.

Another batch for ready to hit the road.
