Örebro CK Defeat Sigtuna CC by 46 Runs

Örebro CK produced an impressive all-round performance to secure a 46-run victory over Sigtuna Cricket Club in the T30 Division 1.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, Örebro posted 169/9 in 30 overs. Obeidullah Ahmadzai led the way with a brilliant 69 off 63 balls, while Dinesh Bisht scored 37 before retiring injured. Binara De Zoysa added 20 runs to strengthen the total.

In reply, Sigtuna were bowled out for 123 in 23.4 overs. Muhammad Saad Sajid S top scored with 27, but Örebro’s bowlers kept the chase under control throughout.

Binara R starred with the ball, claiming 3/9, while Pardes took 4/30 to seal a comfortable win.

Örebro CK clinched a thrilling 2-run victory over Mälaren Cricket Club XI in the Svenska Cricketförbundet T30 Division 1. Örebro were bowled out for 119, with Binara De Zoysa top-scoring with 30. Prasad L starred for Mälaren with 4/31.

In reply, Mälaren were dismissed for 117. Khyber Mahmood produced a match-winning spell of 3/3, while Jawad Hussain claimed 3 wickets to help Örebro defend their total and seal a dramatic win.

Match Report:

Örebro CK bounced back from back-to-back losses to secure a thrilling 5-run victory against Forenom Royals in their fourth match of the season.

Winning the toss and choosing to bat first, Örebro CK posted 167/9 in their 30 overs. Khyber Mahmood anchored the innings with a crucial 41 off 47 balls, supported by Dinesh Bisht (22). A late 15-run surge in the 29th over proved vital after Harish Anand Vijayakumar (4/23) and Abhinava Anand (3/16) triggered a middle-order collapse.

Defending 168, Örebro CK got a perfect start as Binara Rannulu picked up two early wickets, including a double-wicket maiden. The Royals fought back with a strong 50-run partnership between Abhinava Anand (62) and Srinivas Manem (45). However, Örebro CK's bowlers held their nerve; Pardes Aman took 2/26, Khyber Mahmood got the breakthrough wicket of Manem, and Rannulu finished with 3/24 to restrict the Royals to 162/7.

Örebro Cricket suffered their second loss of the season, falling to Uppsala Gränby Cricket Förening by just 4 runs in a close T30 Div 1 clash.

Uppsala Gränby Cricket Förening were bowled out for 146, with Arifur R leading the attack with an excellent 4/29. In reply, Örebro fought hard through Binara R’s quick 43, but were eventually bowled out for 142, falling just short of the target.

A tough result for Örebro in a match that went down to the wire.
