Yep, I think this is why I'm a passionate believer in life resets!! I learned firsthand, what happens when you stop focusing on the past (lamenting, regretting, ruminating on abuse, etc) and put all that energy and focus instead on the future. You lose the pain and negativity and GAIN such positivity and momentum! When you you focus and lose yourself in building the next, bigger, grander and better chapter, that's where the magic happens! Beautiful surprises happen, synchronicities appear, the people who are supposed to be in your life arrive, you accomplish things beyond your imagination, and everything falls into place. October is Domestic Violence Awareness month. Many of you know that abuse can cause devastating physical and emotional harm... not only to you, but also your children, in the following ways: emotional distress, depression, anxiety, sleeping disturbances and even thoughts of su***de.

I so wish I could tell every woman who has recently left an abusive or toxic relationship, THERE IS a brighter future for you. You WILL get through it. You DON'T have to be superwoman, all you have to do is KEEP GOING. Focus on the future, your next chapter, your dreams, and NEVER look back.

Be that amazing woman who got away, that the idiot fool was stupid enough to lose. You deserve better and you WILL succeed.

It took me and my son years to heal from the abuse we experienced, but today I'm a best-selling author, international's speaker, coach, my son is enjoying a full-ride college scholarship after speaking out against domestic violence (and what he witnessed and endured), and the attorney who helped me navigate the court system is now a judge overseeing cases just like mine (and there's no better man to be doing that!). Good came from the bad, and we're stronger for it! The same will be true for you! ~ Ann
