Emanuel Navarrete puts his WBO and IBF super-featherweight titles on the line against WBC champion O'Shaquie Foster tonight, at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio.

Navarrete (40-2-1, 33 KOs) is coming off a dominant win over Eduardo Nuñez in February, stopping him after 10 rounds to capture the IBF title and unify it with his WBO belt. The 31-year-old Mexican three-division world champion has won three of his past four bouts, with a no-contest against Charly Suarez in May 2025 the lone exception.

Foster (25-3, 12 KOs) enters the fight riding a three-fight win streak since reclaiming his WBC title from Robson Conceição in November 2024.

Dalton Smith faces former world champion Alberto Puello in Sheffield on Saturday as he puts his WBC light-welterweight title on the line for the first time.

Unbeaten Smith, 29, returns to the ring for the first time since becoming world champion with a stunning stoppage of Subriel Matias in New York in January.

Puello, 32, from the Dominican Republic, is looking to reclaim the WBC title he lost to Matias on points last year.

Emanuel Navarrete and O'Shaquie Foster both successfully made weight for tonight’s WBC, WBO and IBF world super-featherweight unification bout at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas.

Navarrete, 40-2-1 (33 KOs), weighed in at 130 lbs, while Foster, 25-3 (12 KOs), tipped the scales at 129.8 lbs. The pair will meet over 12 rounds, with the winner claiming three major world titles and moving one belt away from becoming the division’s first undisputed champion of the modern four-belt era. Anthony Cacace currently holds the remaining WBA title.

Dalton Smith and Alberto Puello both made the 140lb limit, and tomorrow night in Sheffield the WBC light-welterweight title is on the line.

Smith makes the first defence of his world title against the former champion. The unbeaten 29-year-old returns to his home city nine months after producing the biggest victory of his career by stopping Subriel Matias in New York to become world champion.

“There is no pressure for me. All the years of hard work and sacrifice, I am made for moments like this,” said Smith after making the weight. “You can see all the people who have turned out and the support I have. I’ve dreamt of nights like this and tomorrow night, it is going to be special.”

Filip Hrgovic’s next fight looks set to be a mandatory IBF defence against Frank Sanchez, not a unification with WBO champion Daniel Dubois.

The IBF heavyweight champion would defend his title in Croatia. Sanchez’s manager Mike Borao told Sky Sports: “I expect Frank Sanchez versus Filip Hrgovic to take place in the first quarter of 2027, perhaps in Zagreb, but too early to know for sure.”

He continued: “I have already communicated with George Warren [of Queensberry Promotions] and will likely speak again this week. Frank has speed and power, but also brings experience and stamina, so he is anxious to fight Hrgovic.

“[Sanchez’s trainer] Eddie Reynoso loves the match and so do I. Sanchez will become the first Cuban heavyweight champion.”

Canelo Alvarez says he has learned from his loss to Terence Crawford, and he believes Christian Mbilli’s style is perfect for him.

Ahead of his challenge for Mbilli’s WBC super-middleweight title, he shared his thoughts from his training camp in Spain.

On how he feels ahead of the fight…
“I feel great. I don’t know how he [Mbilli] feels, and I don’t really care how he feels. I care about how I feel, and I feel strong and ready to step in the ring again. Mbilli is a great fighter. He’s a tough fighter. He throws a lot of punches, and he’s a champion for a reason. I’m just glad to go face a champion, and I’m ready for that.”

On what he took from the loss to Terence Crawford, and how it will help him in this fight…
“When you lose, you always look back at your mistakes, and at this level, there’s very little between a win and a loss. I did a good job of preparing for that fight, but throughout fight week my mind wasn’t there. I always say, I don’t want to look back on things. Now, I’m going to learn from that [fight] and look towards Mbilli. I think his style is perfect for me to go against and will make for a great fight.”

On whether he is the face of boxing and which young fighter might be next…
“I’m just glad to be here. Whether I am the face of boxing or not, I’m just glad to be here and continue fighting. There are a lot of young fighters and a lot of good talent that always come from Mexico, so we’ll see who that is in the future.”

On how passionate he is about boxing at this stage in his career…
“I always give 100% in the gym because I really love what I do. I’m the kind of person who, if I’m going to do something, I’m going to do it 100%. For me, boxing is my passion.”

On training in Spain with Oleksandr Usyk…
“Oleksandr came over here for two or three days and I enjoyed it a lot. I’m grateful to train with him and I appreciate him letting me train in his gym. I always enjoy the time with him and his team in the gym. When you talk to him a little bit, you realize why he’s a champion. His mentality is everything.”
