In a much anticipated encounter of the Prince Abdulaziz Bin Nasser T20 Tournament 2026 – Hayer League match Razor Stags produced a complete all-round masterclass to defeat Kashmir XI by five wickets chasing down a target of 175 with more than two overs to spare.
•After opting to bat first Kashmir XI posted 174/9 in 20 overs, with solid contributions from Sumair Mushtaq (32 off 21) and Aamir Sofi (29 off 15), who gave their side a fast and aggressive start.
However, the Razor Stags’ bowling unit responded with discipline, control, and sharp ex*****on. Captain Mujtaba led from the front with an excellent bowling spell with 2 wickets, combining intelligent field placements, smart variations, and tight lines that kept constant pressure on the batters. His captaincy stood out as he rotated bowlers effectively and built pressure at key stages of the innings.
The most damaging impact came from Nasir Ayub Muhammad Ayub Joyia, who produced a sensational spell, removing three key top-order batters for just 31 runs, completely breaking the backbone of Kashmir XI’s innings and halting their momentum at a crucial stage.
Backing them brilliantly was Riyaz, who delivered a superb second spell, applying sustained pressure in the middle overs and ensuring that Kashmir XI could not recover or accelerate freely. Kaustav Das also chipped in with two important wickets, maintaining control with disciplined bowling throughout.
•Chasing 175, Razor Stags began with intent and confidence, keeping the required rate well under control from the start. The batting lineup showed maturity, composure, and smart shot selection under pressure.
Shaharyar Ahmed Jafry led the charge with a stunning 60 off just 31 balls, smashing seven boundaries and two sixes in a fearless display of attacking cricket. He was supported brilliantly by Syed Nabil Hussain, who stayed unbeaten on 51 off 28 balls, anchoring the chase with calm authority and flawless timing.
Adding further momentum was a valuable cameo from Muzammil, whose quick-fire contribution boosted the scoring rate at a crucial stage and helped ensure the chase never slowed down.
Together, the batters formed a strong, match-winning effort that completely outplayed the opposition.
