JOB DONE!!

An ok swim (a little long, I measured it at 2.5km); An awful bike (very long straights with headwinds); real sh*tty run (big toes hurt, cramp in my Vastus Medialis for the first 5km, blisters on my heels after 4km that turned to exposed blood blisters, towards the end my hip flexors would not ‘flex’). Also, very exposed for the bike and the run.

These are not complaints, just personal feedback on things I need to work on.

One of my aims was to get across the finish and walk away without collapsing - done!!

Hats off to for the build up…let’s now look toward Bahrain 70.3 in December 2023.

This morning’s routine….

1. Indoor bike for 60mins - this took me over the 100hrs of training with Zwift
2. New go-to… Pineapple Smoothie; ice, Laban, pineapple juice and protein supplement
3. Chilling in the whirlpool bath with the sweet sounds of the Rolling Stones

That’s the end of another swim season…it has been great to see the team grow in skill and confidence - greats times as an assistant coach.

8 swim meets, one international meet, a shed load of PB’s lots of medals, and trophies to boot.
