The PADI Foundation is now accepting grant proposals for the 2026–2027 cycle, opening November 1, 2026. Since 1992, the Foundation has awarded more than $5.9 million to over 1,389 projects advancing marine research, diving physiology, and diver safety worldwide.

We invite researchers, graduate students, medical professionals, and scientists to submit proposals exploring aquatic environments, sport diving physics, and physiology. Grants of up to $15,000 are available, with the application deadline set for January 15, 2027.

Please join us in welcoming Danny O'Reilly to the PADI EMEA team!

Danny joins PADI EMEA as part of the Training and Quality Management department. As a Training and Quality Management Consultant, Danny brings a wealth of professional diving experience with a strong background in instructor development and quality-focused training.

A PADI Platinum Course Director and EFR Instructor Trainer, Danny has led professional training programs across recreational and technical diving, mentored instructor candidates and supported professional development at every level. He has worked closely with PADI dive shops in Ireland and internationally and has also served as a subject matter expert for an EU-funded diver education college programme.

Furthering his commitment to safety, consistency, and high training standards, Danny will work closely with PADI Members to support quality, consistency and professionalism across the region.

“One of the most rewarding parts of my career has been supporting PADI professionals at all levels, helping maintain high standards in diver education and watching them thrive in the industry.
