The newest player in the professional golf landscape heads back to where much of its news making began earlier this year, with LIV Golf’s penultimate event for 2022 taking place in Saudi Arabia at Royal Greens Golf and Country Club this week.
The circuit fronted by Greg Norman will conclude its individual events here before heading for Florida and the now Donald Trump owned Doral course that once played host to the PGA Tour each year, with many in the field familiar with this week’s venue.
Site of the Saudi International on the then European Tour for a number of years, and this year on the Asian Tour, the course is a happy hunting ground for some of LIV Golf’s 48 players, including former World No.1 Dustin Johnson, and Harold Varner III who won here back in February in dramatic style.
