IBF-Rwanda International Basketball Foundation-Development action 2016–19, based in Rwanda and Madagascar as pilot to validate the relevance of this project.

In frame of the development of the game of Basketball across the continent and the provision of humanitarian and social aid to the concerned population, the International Basketball Foundation – IBF has selected Rwanda alongside to Uganda and Madagascar to implement a project of sport and social actions which will be developed in primary schools with 50 young Boys and 50 girls. ll Federation has selected the Primary school of GACUBA II/A from Muhanga District and Ecole Primaire Saint André from Rubavu District to host this project for the period of 3 years from 2016 – 2019. The main objectives of this project are to promote the practice of Basketball and provision of Humanitarian and social aid to the population of Rwanda. This project will contain the sport aspect based on the development of mini-basketball for the younger categories (10 – 12) and the new discipline of Basketball 3x3. The Basketball practice will be deployed with the help of teachers within the school who will become Basketball coaches and they will conduct activities of the project in the school.
