FreiFechterGilde is an association of enthusiasts that is located in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, who study and practice historical european martial arts of Middle Ages and Renaissance, classical fencing and art fencing (with staging and performing of fencing shows), traditional archery, and irish Bataireacht.(Batha)
Our area of interest includes the mastery of longsword, two-handed sword, sword and

buckler, polish heavy saber of 'Cross-cut' School, Renaissance side-sword, sword and dagger, and many other types of weaponry. The key feature of our Guild is the traditional approach to the learning of european martial arts, similar to one used in german city guilds of martial arts in the 13th-16th centuries.

FFG has successfully made FechtTerra: Young Blood. This tournament is for beginner fencers in all basic HEMA nominations - longsword, solo rapier, saber, sword & buckler. The necessary condition is not more than three years training experince and absence of medals.

Before the new 2023 FFG was invited by Countertime club to hold a seminar about the longsword. We reviewed technics and mechanics of strike series based on Liechtenauer master strikes in German tradition. Also used Winden and Duplieren.

At 22 of October three of FFG fighters participated in KatzenKampf Octoberfecht tournament, organized by HEMA TEAM in Saint-Petersburg.

24-25 of September FFG participated in "Level One: Neva" tournament for beginner fencers. The participants were from several clubs and cities and provided serious rivalry. FFG competed in Rapier, Saber, Longsword and Team Longsword.
