Guide for MainRef race manager (wrote in 2019 for versions 1.6.2, but actually for any latest version)
Preparation for work.
1. In the "Setup" section you need to select the race language and program.
2. After connecting the control block to the computer, in the “Settings” section enter the serial number of the unit (written on the body of the control unit or on the board) and check the connection. The serial number consists of only capital letters.
3. In the "Settings" section you should specify the name of the track, the length of the track and how many lines on track.
4. In the "Settings" section, select the color or digital marking of the track. It is also possible to set any color for each track.
Creating and conducting a race
1. In the "Racers" section (in the top menu of the program) it is possible to use saved racers , create new racers or import the csv files.
2. In the "New" section, you can choose to create a copy of the saved processes or choose to create a new race process. To activate the list of saved copies, click the button “Create a copy”
3. Creating a new race:
- Fill in the “Race Info” fields (enter the name of the race, the organizer and the minimum lap time)
- In the "Registration" field, select the option to "Sort order": by position, name, rating or random. (After adding riders, completing registration and moving to the next stage of the race, the list will be ranked according to the selected parameters).
- Tick the necessary stages of the race (Click the mouse on needed sections of race stage for activations )
- If you need to limit the number of participants who pass in the next section of the race - you must specify a number in the "Quantity racers" field. (For example, in the semi-final comes 24 best racers after quarter-finals, in this case in "quarter-finals" section in the field "Number of participants" you must specify - 24). If there are no such restrictions, leave the field empty.
- In the menu of each stage of the race, specify or select the desired race paramaters
The direct "order of execute" is top to bottom of the registration list. Reverse race "order of execute" - bottom-up registration sheet.
- Press the "Ready" button in the top menu of the program
4. Add racers from the left parts of the screen with the list of racers to the registration list. Add a racer - one click of the mouse on the name (the line with the name of the participant will be highlighted). Remove racer - one click of the mouse on the site (the line with the name of the racers will not be highlighted).
- After that, click "Complete"
5. To proceed to the next stage of the race, click on it in the race stages panel. For example, click on the "Qualification". Then press the "Start" button in the top menu of the program.
6. For first actionIn in qualifications and race need press the "Enter" button on keyboard. After the track is controlled by the "Space" button. It is possible to stop the track at any time of the race or qualification. Also in qualifying it is possible to reduce the waiting time for the next driver - for this you need to double-click the "Enter" button. It is also possible to skip the next driver - to do this, press the "ctrl-s" key combination.
7. During any stage of the race, hints appear in the lower left corner of the screen for ways to start, end or continue the race.
8. Before moving to the next stage of the race, you must complete the previous stage of the race. To do this, click the "Complete"
9. To proceed to the next stage, click on it in the race stages panel. For example, click on the "Final" button to start preparing for the races.
10. After moving to the “final” race stage (followed by group starts), the left panel with a list of starting groups becomes active so that riders can move from one starting group to another. In order to move the racer with the worst result from current start group to the next one, you must click the “Remove” button. In order to add a racer back to a stronger group, you must click the "Add" button. Accordingly, the movement takes place according to the results of the qualification or the chosen "sort order" the racers in the event that the race is held without qualifying races. Editing of start groups must be completed by clicking “Ready” on the top panel
11. To proceed to the next stage you need to click on it in the race stages panel. For example, press the "A" button to start the race of group "A"
12. After that, in the left panel it is possible to choose the starting lines for each rider. To do this, click on the desired track with the mouse in each racer row. After completing the selection of tracks for all racers, you must click the "Ready" button in the top panel.
13. To start the race of the first group, click the “Start” button in the top menu of the program.
14. After the end of each race, you must enter hundredths of a circle and click "Okey". Then click "Exit"
15. Printing of any stage of the race is available after clicking the “Complete” button. To view or print any completed stage of the race, you must select the desired stage of the race in the panel of the stages of the race and click on it. After which it will appear on the screen and it will be possible to click the “Print” button.
16. Accordingly, in order to proceed to the next stage of the race, you need to click on it with the mouse in the race stages panel. For example, click on the button "B" to start the race of group "B". The algorithm is repeated the required number of times.
17. After all race groups, it is possible to correct the result again using the menu on the left side of the screen. To do this, click on the "Final" in race stages panel, after which the list of racers appears in the left part "Correction of result." Clicking on any name on the left side will bring up the “Edit result” window. (In the “Edit result” window, you can save changes only after filling in the "Comment" field).
Description of the program process
Each stage and components of the stages have the following states:
1. Scheduled - the state in which the stage is waiting for its turn. In this state, work with the stage and its parts is not available (the button on the race stages panel is not active).
The transition from this state is performed by the system automatically to the state of "Preparation".
2. Preparation - in this state performs the preparation of the stage for implementation. For example, for the final, you can adjust the number of groups, and for a group, start tracks for participants.
The transition from this state is performed by pressing the “Complete” button to the “Performance” state.
3. Performance - the state in which the competitive part of the stage is directly held. At this state, the function of printing the start protocol of the stage is available.
The transition from this state is performed by the system automatically in the state of "Summary".
4. Summing up - in this state, you can adjust the results of the stage. Introduce judicial decisions such as fine and disqualifications.
The transition from this state is performed by pressing the “Complete” button to the “Completed” state.
5. Completed - the state in which the stage is considered completed and the modification of the results is prohibited. At this state, the function of printing the protocol of the results of the stage is available.
When the “Cancel” button is pressed, the active stage changes to the “Planned” state, and the previous stage changes to the “Summing up” state.
