We all have our own reality, our personal filters that shape what we think is the world, both the inner and the external one. Attention is a resource that is unlimited in time but limited in space. What we focus on creates our thoughts, which influences our emotions, that makes us act in a certain way, our behaviors and in the end, by practicing a behavior enough times, we create habits.

Our 🧠 love habits. It puts it on auto pilot and helps save energy. That is why change is hard.

What do you think about SDT Theory ? 🤓

Self-determination theory is a theory of motivation and personality that focuses on intrinsic motivation and the satisfaction of three basic psychological needs: autonomy, competence and relatedness.

According to this theory, when these three basic psychological needs are satisfied, individuals are more likely to experience intrinsic motivation, which is driven by internal factors such as pleasure, interest and a sense of fulfilment.

Do you practice active listening? 🎧

Active listening is a key skill for effective communication and building strong relationships. It goes beyond hearing the words, by involving understanding the speaker's message, demonstrating genuine engagement and empathy, facilitating the creation of a safe environment that encourages open and authentic communication.

You practice active listening if:
🔵You are present in the conversation
🔵You understand the emotions, intentions and non-verbal cues expressed
🔵You focus attention on the speaker
🔵You suspend judgement
🔵You show empathy
