Welcome to - the House Under the Tower - our guest house is situated in the fantastic natural nature surroundings of the Carpathian mountains about 12km from Caransebes. Our Summer Season runs through from May till October followed by our Winter Season running from November through April. Summer activities:
- Hiking up to the Turnu Ruieni tower and surrounding areas.
- Fishing in the local rivers
and lakes,
-Quad Biking, ATV and KTM on the designated tracks used by Enduromania.

- Mountain Biking on surrounding hills and valleys, up the mountain and Poiana Marului lake. So wether its just a bit of sightseeing in the beautiful mountains, valleys and local villages or some serious sporting activities you'll find what you need here. Set in landscape at the foot of Muntele Mic mountain we are ideally located to provide a lovely base for events and sporting activities throughout the year. Romania is fast becoming a popular tourist destination and our guest house is the ideal way to see these beautiful unspoilt surroundings. Winter Activities
- Skiing and snowboarding on any of three local Ski centres, one of these has floodlit slopes for night time sports.
- Winter Hiking, appropriate clothing and equipment is recommended, our Mountain Guide and Mountain Rescue Specialist is available for guiding.
- Snowmobile Rides

- Skiing and Snowboarding are at Muntele Mic Mountain the Cable Lift is 10km from the Pensuinea.

Sightseeing is of course well worth doing throughout all seasons and there are many interesting castles, towns and areas of historic interest all within easy driving distance of the guest house
Here at the House Under the Tower we currently have a variety of accomodation available to suit groups of all sizes.You can of course hire out the complete guest house, which has proved popular for fishing trips and hiking groups alike. We also have a large garden area where you can sit and relax or play games and there is a barbecue provided on site. We have satelite TV available in the main lounge and a strong Wifi signal in every room and outside, and if your really missing home you can even have a good old game of darts.
