Had a productive and encouraging meeting with ICC Chair Mr. Jay Shah in Düsseldorf.

On behalf of the Romanian Cricket Federation and the European Non-Voting Associate Members, our Vice President Mr. Abdul Shakoor was pleased to engage in constructive discussions focused on the development of Associate cricket across Europe.

In our view, it is clear that the development of Associate and Non-Voting Members remains one of his key priorities. I do not believe we have previously seen such a hands-on and proactive approach from an ICC Chairman towards engaging directly with Associates.

I am especially pleased that my very first official engagement after being elected as the Regional Representative for Europe was a meeting with the ICC Chairman himself, a fantastic and positive start for the Non-Voting Associates in Europe.

I am truly grateful for his time, guidance, and encouragement, and I look forward to working closely with ICC Management and the Associate Members’ elected representatives to help drive the development agenda for Non-Voting Associates across Europe.
