2 Millfield students travelled to Skopje, North Macedonia 🇲🇰 to compete in the European Youth Olympic Festival.

🇪🇸 Roc V was an integral part of the relays and achieved life time best swims on his was to a 200m Freestyle Final.

🇬🇧 Xander set a new school record in the 200m Backstroke, before going head-to-head with Roc in the 200m Freestyle Final. Setting new best times, he was a key player in the team’s relay achievements🥈🥈🥉

4 Millfield students travelled to Samorin, Slovakia 🇸🇰 to compete in the European Aquatics Junior Swimming Championships.

🇳🇴 Ewan P enjoyed being part of the Norway’s mens freestyle relay, achieving 4th place.

🇮🇪 Lower Sixth Reuben A competed in the 50m Freestyle, 100m Freestyle, and 4x100m Medley Relay. He swam on his best times and proudly flew the flag for Ireland.

🇬🇧 Toby G and Filip N were part of ‘Top of the Medal Table’ Team GB. Toby swam lifetime bests in the 400m Individual Medley, and on his way to a 5th place finish in the 200m Individual Medley. Filip set a new 200m Breaststroke European Junior Record and 100m Breaststroke British Junior Record on the way to his 4 gold medals🥇🥇🥇🥇

👏 Last month, Millfield swimmers represented their countries at the African Championships, competing among the continent’s top young athletes.

Tasu represented Malawi 🇲🇼 , Rihanna and Jada represented Ghana 🇬🇭 and Mikayla represented Zimbabwe 🇿🇼

🏆 The athletes recorded new best times, set new national records and won several medals

🏊 We are thrilled to announce that Cameron Kurle has joined the team as a Development Coach for the remainder of the season.

✨ A distinguished athlete, Old Millfieldian Cameron recently retired from competitive swimming after an impressive career that saw him earn European and Commonwealth Games medals and compete as a World Championship finalist. Cameron understands firsthand the dedication required to balance academics and athletics at Millfield, having qualified for the 2016 Olympic Games while still a student here.

👏 A huge well done to Filip N, who has been named on the 2025 Aquatics GB World Class Programme ✨

Filip has been selected as a Podium Potential 🥇🥈🥉 Athlete, meaning that he is thought to have the ability to make the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles 🇺🇸

He is joined on the programme by OMs Kieran Bird, James Guy, Evan Jones, Evie Dilley and former Performance Squad members Matt Richard’s and Emily Richards.

An important day for athlete inclusion, so to have this many adults step forward to assist in the running of the meet, was lovely to see.
