Here is a glimpse into last year's Robochallenge competition which was lots of fun and full of achievements (🥈second place at mega sumo with robot Cheetah and 🥇 first place at football with Madrobot).
Fingers crossed for this year's edition which is soon to come! 🤞

All Japan Robot Sumo Tournament Secretariat

On 7/31, we will close this year's official tournament registration. After this date, we will not accept any late registrations. Starting in August, we will begin to check tournament results and send certifications to the winners. The visa process will also commence at this time. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you in Tokyo.

There is one more update from our side until our next competition, Robochallenge Romania, which will take place this weekend at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest.

On the 20th of May we were in Cluj-Napoca, Romania along with our long time friends at BattleLab Robotica. This competition is very dear to us as the mega sumo spirit stays strong in the local community with many new students joining this path every year and the old ones keep coming back to where they started.
A tight battle with many strong robots was in place.
In the end, the plot was similar as in Oradea, but with a twist. Our robots challenged each other and our wise veteran robot - Wolf decided that he wanted the second place🥈 and thus the third place 🥉 went to our strong, old Japan winner robot - Cheetah. Not far away, finishing the forth, was our powerful and masterfully designed robot - Shreddinger.

We invite all our opponents to a fair battle at our next in line competition, Robochallenge Bucharest Romania on 3-5 November 2023. Let’s see who wins the stage at the biggest European robotics competition. See you there! 😎

Before jumping to our next competition, Robochallenge Romania, which will be pretty soon by the way, there are still a few achievements from this year which we would like to mention.

In April we were at the Robotics Championship in Oradea Romania. With great enthusiasm we participated in this international competition which has grown a lot since its initial first local edition in 2010. We fought hard during the sumo battles and kept our position strong until the finals.
The first place was won by our friends at Team Vision Romania.
Of course, we had to be there on the podium with our powerful robots, which won for us the second place 🥈 - Cheetah 🐆 and the third place 🥉 - Wolf 🐺.

We could not start the vacation season without looking back at our latest achievements so here we go.

First of all, it was a great pleasure to participate for the first time at the MRC - Minoan Robotsports Competition Global Olympiad on the 7th to 10th April in Heraklion, Crete, Greece.

With a passion for robotics and a great deal of determination, the relatively new competition started to grow into a big animated event with many robot categories to choose from.

Romania was the honored guest country in this year's competition so we were glad that our team was there at the stage opening.
Special thanks go to the Ambasada României în Grecia / Η Πρεσβεία της Ρουμανίας στην Ελλάδα (Romanian Embassy in Greece) for organizing a nice reception where we had the opportunity to discuss our work, exchange ideas and talk about the future.
It was nice to meet you all.

During the sumo battle we keep a firm position with our opponents. This way our team succeeded to win the first and second place in this heavyweight category.
The 1st place went to our great adventurer robot Cheetah and the second to our oldest and wisest robot Wolf.

Robochallenge registration is open

Registration for Robochallenge Romania 2022 is open until October 10th

You must follow a few simple steps to register:
1. You will create an Account using the link robochallenge.ro/en/register and fill in the information about the team name and team leader.
Important!!! The system will not send a confirmation email
Don't try to change the team leader. You will not be able to access the account anymore.
2. Log in with your account on robochallenge.ro/en/account/login and add your team members using the section Members / Add member. At this point you can manage your team, add members, delete members until October 10th. After that, the system will be closed.
3. Using the section Robots /Add Robot, you will add your robots. You must check your robot in for the category you want to register and the team members who will operate the robot (max 5 members for each robot). Robot registration is free.
4. On the Shop section you can buy the start/stop module (Kill switch), and you can select the amount you need.
We do not deliver the ordered sensors, they can be picked up at check-in or purchased in advance accessing this link: https://p1r.se/startmodule/shop/

Registration Fee: 25 € for each registered team. The fee is not for each robot. One team can compete in more than one category without extra charge. The fee will be paid at check-in

Înscrierile pentru Robochallenge România 2022 sunt deschise până pe 10 Octombrie

Trebuie să urmezi câțiva pași simpli pentru a te înscrie:
1. Crează-ți un cont folosind link-ul robochallenge.ro/ro/register și completează informațiile legate de numele echipei și al liderului.
Important!!! Sistemul nu va trimite e-mail de confirmare
Nu încercați să schimbați liderul. Contul se va bloca și nu îl veți mai putea accesa.
2. Loghează-te cu contul creat pe robochallenge.ro/ro/account/login și adaugă-ți coechipieri, folosind secțiunea Membrii/Adaugă membru. De aici îți poți edita și modifica echipa în funcție de ceea ce decideți, iar schimbările sunt posibile până pe 10 octombrie. După 10 octombrie sistemul se va bloca.
3. Folosind secțiunea Roboți/Adaugă robot, este rândul roboților să fie înscriși. Bifezi la ce probe participă aceștia și de asemenea, în cazul echipelor mai numeroase, membrii care participă la fiecare probă de concurs (maxim 5 membrii pentru fiecare robot). Înscrierea roboților este gratuită.
4. De la secțiunea Cumpără, îți poți comanda modulul de start/stop (Kill switch), bifând cantitatea dorită.
Nu livrăm senzorii comandați ei se pot ridica la check-in sau se pot achiziționa în avans accesând acest link: https://p1r.se/startmodule/shop/
