Today, on the anniversary of his passing, we pay tribute to one of the most influential figures in the history of karate:
Master Miyagi, founder of Gลjลซ-ryลซ Karatedล, was honored with the title of โBushiโ, recognizing his legacy not only as a warrior but also as a human role model in the development of karate.
Born in Higashimachi, Naha, he began his martial arts training at the age of 14 under the guidance of Master Kanryo Higaonna. He later traveled to Fujian, China, to deepen his knowledge. In 1939, he officially named his school Gลjลซ-ryลซ Karatedล, making it the first karate style to bear an official name in Japan.

His teachings continue to guide practitioners around the world, and emphasize:
1. The secret of Gลjลซ-ryลซ Karatedล lies in the katas (forms).
2. Gลjลซ-ryลซ Karatedล should express the harmony of heaven, earth, and nature within oneself.
3. Gลjลซ-ryลซ Karatedล is the pursuit of the path of virtue.
