🇧🇬🌍 Youth United for a Greener Future – Bulgaria Camp Highlights!
Between July 18–22, 2025, young participants from the Children and Youths Camp project joined a 5-day international youth camp hosted by our wonderful partner GAL Aytos in Bulgaria.

🌿 The camp brought together fun, learning, culture, and environmental awareness through engaging activities designed to inspire action and cooperation.

🚴‍♀️ What did the youth experience?
– Bicycle tours in nature and to local landmarks
– Hands-on workshops: wood carving, pottery, copper crafting, weaving
– Training sessions on climate change and sustainable territorial development
– Board games, teamwork challenges & creative crafts
– Outdoor cinema nights and live traditional dance shows

💡 Through movement, exploration, and shared experiences, young people learned how every action matters when it comes to protecting the environment. The camp also encouraged intercultural exchange and partnership between youth from Romania and Bulgaria.

👏 A big thank you to our hosts from GAL Aytos for an inspiring, memorable program and their warm hospitality!

Children and Youths Camp 🌿
Between 15–18 July 2025, the territory of GAL Lunca Joasă a Siretului in Galați County, Romania, hosted the second youth camp under the project “Children and Youths Camp – Developing common tools to decrease the consequences of climate change.”

🚴‍♀️🌍The camp brought together young participants from across partner regions, promoting healthy lifestyles, climate education and the use of alternative means of transport – especially the bicycle – as a tool for reducing CO2 emissions.

📌 Over four days, the youth participated in:

✅ Green sports competitions
✅Environmental protection activities (like cleaning the banks of the Siret River)
✅Workshops on water conservation, first aid in nature, climate change effects
✅Creative ateliers – local gastronomy, eco-photography, recycled fashion
✅Cycling tours, team games, and outdoor cinema evenings on climate awareness

💬 The camp served not only as a fun and educational experience, but also as a space for youth networking and exchanging best practices in environmental education.

💚🇷🇴 So happy to share with you that Asociatia GAL Lider Bistrita-Nasaud is the next Romanian partner who have successfully hosted the Children and Youths Camp in the stunning region of Cormaia, nestled within Bistrița-Năsăud County!

During our time at Conacul Sanct Gurgh Pensiunea Hyperion Cormaia and Pastravaria Cormaia, we were surrounded by magnificent landscapes while taking part in a variety of engaging and educational activities. 🚴‍♀️🌲

📌 This is the agenda proposed by LAG Lider Bistrița-Năsăud, filled with exciting and educational activities:

Day 1: Participants arrived and were greeted with a local brunch at Conac Sanct Gurgh in Cormaia. We enjoyed ice-breaking activities, networked, and learned about climate change and environmental protection. 🌍 The day ended with a lively dinner and party by the pool at Pensiunea Hyperion. 🍽️🎉

Day 2: We started the day with a delicious breakfast, followed by a local gastronomy workshop led by Sanda Mariana from Sanda lu' Mărișica Punct gastronomic LOCAL and Florin Hodoroga at Pastravaria Cormaia, focusing on the "from farm to fork" philosophy. 🍳🥗 Afterward, we visited a traditional house in Cormaia, followed by a hike to the Cheilor Cormaia Waterfall, where we learned about biodiversity and the impact of climate change. 🏞️ The day concluded with a cozy movie night under the stars at Păstrăvăria Cormaia. 🎬✨

Day 3: We enjoyed a creative workshop in Poiana Ilvei, sewing traditional motifs and participating in a handicraft session with PGL Danila Maria. 🧵🎨 In the afternoon, we organized a cycling trail from the Sângeorz-Băi Park, promoting sustainable transport through the Aqua Primus project. 🚴‍♂️ Dinner was served at the charming Conac Sanct Gurgh. 🍽️

Day 4: After breakfast, we moved to Rodna for a biodiversity workshop on the effects of climate change, led by Florin Hodoroga and PGL Filipoi Viorica. 🌍🐾The camp concluded with a feedback session in Ilva Mică, discussing the camp's impact and raising awareness about climate change. The day ended with a delicious dinner at PGL Filipoi Viorica. 🙌

🌿 Not only did we immerse ourselves in nature’s beauty, but we also learned valuable lessons on how to protect and preserve it for the future. This camp has been a perfect blend of fun and environmental awareness, inspiring the next generation to care for our planet and ensure its sustainability for years to come. 💫💚

💚🇷🇴 Wonderful news from our Romanian partners Asociatia GAL Napoca Porolissum, who have hosted successfully the Children and Youths Camp in their territory, in the beautiful landscapes of Beliș, Cluj County!

Along with children from the other partners Asociatia GAL Lider Bistrita-Nasaud Asociația Grup de Acțiune Locală “ Lunca Joasă a Siretului “ and 🇧🇬 , we all spent amazing days in the camp, at Pensiunea Colț de Rai. 🚴‍♀️🌲

📌 This was the schedule proposed by LAG Napoca Porolissum that we really enjoyed, combining theoretical activities, dynamic games, sports, outside and indoor workshops, culinary moments, and lots of fun together:

Day 1: Arrival of participants: Participants arrived, got familiar with the camp, and settled into their rooms. Afterward, we enjoyed some fun social activities with group games, followed by a relaxing dinner. 🍽️😊

Day 2: Cycling Adventure: The day began with scenic cycling trails 🚵‍♂️ while others engaged in sports competitions. Meanwhile, some of us attended workshops on climate change 🌍. The evening ended with group games and songs by the campfire 🔥🎶.

Day 3: Creativity and Adventure: We explored our creativity through cooking with local products 👩‍🍳🍲, learned ecological photography 📸, and designed graffiti on t-shirts 🎨👕. Later, we enjoyed a cozy movie night under the stars ✨🎬.

Day 4: Sports Competitions and Ceramics: The final day featured exciting water games 💦 and ceramics workshops, where we learned to mold clay objects 👐. The evening wrapped up with stargazing 🌌 and other relaxing activities.

🌍 Together, we’re learning to enjoy and protect nature for future generations! Let’s preserve its beauty and ensure it thrives for years to come and teach the youth how to love both nature and taking care of it. 🌿💫

Asociatia GAL Napoca Porolissum, together with Asociatia GAL Lider Bistrita-Nasaud and Asociația Grup de Acțiune Locală “ Lunca Joasă a Siretului “, had the pleasure of participating in a remarkable event in the charming town of Leonidio, Arcadia, Greece, as part of the project “Children and Youths Camp – Developing Common Tools to Mitigate the Effects of Climate Change,” running from July 2 to July 8, 2024.✨

In a vibrant and inspiring atmosphere, our colleagues explored innovative workshops, visited captivating sites, and engaged in diverse cultural activities, with a special focus on local gastronomy, vibrant tourism, and the region’s natural beauty.🏕️ 🌿

📍At the Melitzazz Festival, our Romanian local products captured the attention and appreciation of tourists and participants. We engaged in exciting exchanges with products , highlighting the diversity and quality of our offerings. 🧀

✅This experience underscored the significance of international collaboration and highlighted the essential role of LEADER in fostering sustainable rural development.

🗝️A key takeaway: By featuring our authentic products in the region’s culinary and tourism scenes, we continue to showcase the success of our initiatives and the powerful impact of promoting local goods.🌱
