Strategic moves, sharp thinking, and remarkable focus led Birla Public School students to an outstanding performance at the Horwitz Bishop Rapid Chess Tournament – May 2026 ♟️🏆
In the Under-8 category, Rithik Lineesh emerged as the Champion with an exceptional performance. In the Under-10 Category, Neavin Raghunathan emerged as the 1st Runner-Up, while Jashwanthan Karthick secured 6th Place. In the Under-12 Category, Rohan Sai Suresh secured an impressive 4th Place, showcasing excellent skill and determination throughout the tournament.

Birla Public School, Doha proudly commenced the CBSE Qatar Cluster Chess Tournament 2026–27, bringing together talented student players from across Qatar for a celebration of strategy, intellect, and sportsmanship. The tournament was formally inaugurated by Dr. Anand R. Nair, Principal, who welcomed the participants and marked the beginning of an exciting competition that will continue until 4th June.

Over the coming days, the tournament will provide students with an opportunity to test their skills, learn from one another, and demonstrate the qualities that make chess much more than a game. We extend our best wishes to all participants for a memorable and rewarding tournament.
