ipora (pronounced: ee-POOR-ah) means 'beautiful' in Guarani, the native language of Paraguay. In fact, we are just a couple of guys trying to bring awesome Paraguayan artisans into the spotlight, and we hope that you might be willing to help us. These artisans are families dedicated to their craft, and have been living this way for generations. They love what they do and in many cases build whole
communities around these crafts. Of course competing against titans of industry with thousands of under-appreciated employees and million dollar marketing budgets has made it very difficult for them to continue and much less succeed in their family businesses. By liking, sharing and believing in ipora, you take part in raising these communities up. These Paraguayan workers do not want or need charity they just need a little attention. They need the world to see what they can offer. The products are great and people are awesome. Follow along with us on our journey as we find Paraguayan artisans to create unique spins on some already sweet products. Our first adventure:
We are creating the world's first soccer ball designed specifically for barefoot balling. Made from the highest quality full-grain leather and hand-stitched in the heart of South America, this ball has no equal. It is about more than just a ball that is soft, but also about creating a ball and a company that comes alongside those who play barefoot soccer everyday. It is being made in partnership with local ball makers and tested on the same fields that sees barefoot soccer everyday. Join us as we bring the spirit of the developing world into mainstream soccer balls. While we are in production, we are assembling a group of pioneers that will be the firsts to feel excellence at the tips of their toes. Sign-up our website to be included in our newsletter with updates on production and stories about our artisans. No boots no problems!
