The Algarve 7s Sports Festival is an international multi-sport event held every June in the Algarve, Portugal. It brings together over 150 teams and more than 2,500 athletes for a weekend of sport by the coast. In 2026, the event will host its 7th edition, the biggest one yet, featuring seven sports: Rugby 7s (Men & Women - Elite, Open and Social), Netball (Women - Open and Elite), Golf (Social Mi

xed), Padel (MX4, MX5), Open Water Swimming (2000m and 800m), Beach Hockey (Mixed 5v5), and Lacrosse (Men & Women, new for 2026). Competitions take place at the stadium and high-performance centre in Vila Real de Santo António, as well as on Monte Gordo Beach and at Castro Marim Golf & Country Club. Whether you are playing, supporting, or just visiting, Algarve 7s offers great sport, a social atmosphere, and beach parties in one of Europe’s best coastal destinations.

🏆 Champions of Joy🏆

For their first-ever Algarve 7s, Rugby Club de Yopougon from Côte d’Ivoire 🇨🇮 brought an energy that was impossible to ignore. They may not have won a trophy, but they certainly won hearts. 🏉🎶

They turned the sports bar into a dance floor and brought together athletes from every sport and every corner of the world.

Thank you for the music, the laughter, the dancing and the memories.
Sport, friendship and unforgettable moments.

One week ago today, athletes took on the Algarve 7s Open Water Swimming challenge in the waters of Monte Gordo. 🌊🏊�

Whether it was the 800m or the 2000m race, every swimmer embraced the challenge and the unique Algarve 7s spirit.�

🏌️‍♂️⛳ The final putt has dropped, the scorecards are signed, and the fairways of the Algarve 7s Sports Festival have delivered some outstanding golf!

A huge congratulations to our podium finishers who navigated every hole with precision, consistency, and a touch of golfing magic:
