FIRE AT DHL WAREHOUSE LISBON LEAVES ONE INJURED

A firefighter suffered minor injuries while battling the flames. The fire, which started before 1 p.m. and forced the evacuation of neighbouring facilities, has mobilized more than a hundred firefighters

A firefighter was injured while battling a large fire that broke out this Monday at a DHL logistics warehouse in Vialonga, in the municipality of Vila Franca de Xira, Lisbon district. The information was given to Expresso by the on-duty commander of operations for the Greater Lisbon Sub-Regional Command, Bartolomeu Castro.

According to the commander, the fire alarm was raised at 12:55 pm by local residents and is still active.

According to what Bartolomeu Castro told Expresso, the fire started in the roof area and is affecting the surrounding warehouses, which were evacuated "in accordance with the internal emergency plan."

There are 55 vehicles on site, supported by 134 firefighters from the municipalities of Vila Franca de Xira, Loures and neighbouring municipalities.

The fire is currently in resolution

A Lot of catching up to do next day or so but here’s a tank we caught just prior to the start of the Two Bay Snapper challenge! Heres Joe Bruno, he has been my fishing partner this season, it’s been tough, but also a steep learning curve, and very rewarding when these tricky nuggets feed. I think we can all agree it’s the latest start to a snapper season in memory!!
