A tough post to compose. Laying flowers and a Mossa jersey isn’t something you ever expect to do. Our friend, Roy, passed away last week unexpectedly.
Roy was a founding member of the club and loved the adrenaline hit big bikes provided but anything on two wheels was up his street.
Anything that he could send, he would. From bikes to kite surfing, he was all in.
Every time you saw Roy, you were greeted with a huge smile, a bone crushing handshake from his shovel hands and a warm ‘alright mucker?!’
Despite not riding much in recent years due to personal circumstances, he always supported his club mates and friends in the cycling world, of which he had many. He spent a few hours with me in a pouring rain in February at Porridge, cheering on the lads and taking photos. He loved it.
A life tragically cut short. Our thoughts and love are with his kids, Leo and Katie, and his family.
On behalf of everyone from GS Mossa, past and present, RIP Roy.
