One of the things I love about Ayurveda is that digestion means so much more than what happens after we eat.
Agni is often translated as our digestive fire, but its role goes much deeper.
Weâre digesting life all day long â food, information, conversations, emotions, experiences and everything we take in through our senses.
And when our ability to process all of that is compromised, we can feel it in more ways than one.
Perhaps digestion feels sluggish. We feel heavy or bloated. But we might also notice that our mind feels less clear. Decisions feel harder. We get overwhelmed more easily or find ourselves going round in the same patterns.
Supporting Agni is therefore about much more than good digestion.
Itâs about creating the conditions to feel clear, connected and well enough to fully step into our lives.
Because ultimately, thatâs what these ancient teachings are here for â not to give us another set of rules to follow, but to help us understand ourselves a little better and live a little more fully.
Keep an eye out for upcoming Roam retreats, workshops and online offerings designed to help you digest life a little better. đ„
