“It’s been a positive weekend for the team here in Misano. We’ve been through a challenging period over the last few rounds, so having Miguel back from injury and Danilo joining the team was real boost for everyone ... Overall, it’s been a big step forward for the team. The riders, crews and everyone involved have worked hard all weekend, and we leave Misano with plenty of positives. Our focus now shifts to Donington Park. Both Miguel and Danilo are progressing well with their recoveries, and hopefully we can return to our full rider line up for our home round.” - Shaun Muir, Team Principal

“The target coming into the race weekend was to secure points as a team, Motorland Aragon is a fast and demanding circuit so the target for Friday was to build a solid foundation for the weekend especially with Hannes joining us with limited track time on the WorldSBK bike ... Overall, we're content with the weekend considering the circumstances. Both stand in riders did a good job, and the team worked hard to maximise the package we had available. We’ve identified some areas where we can continue to improve as we head into the second half of the season. Misano has been a strong circuit for us over the last two years, and we look forward to getting back on track there.” -

“First of all, I really feel for Danilo right now. To sustain injuries in back to back rounds is tough both physically and mentally, and everyone in the team is wishing him a full and speedy recovery. The most important thing now is that he takes the time needed to recover properly. As for the weekend, it’s been a difficult one for the whole team. We’re very grateful to have a rider of Michael’s experience available to step in for Miguel. Adapting back to the Pirelli package was always going to be a challenge, but he’s done a solid job to come away with two points finishes across the weekend. At the same time, it still feels like a weekend of what could have been..." - Shaun Muir, Team Principal of the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team

🇨🇿 Sunday in Most

With Danilo Petrucci sidelined through injury, Michael van der Mark took to the Czech circuit as the sole BMW Motorrad M 1000 RR on the grid. The Dutchman showed strong pace in the Superpole Race, narrowly missing out on a grid promotion for Race 2 with a solid P10 finish.

In Race 2, Michael held his ground to score another valuable points finish in P13, rounding out the weekend for the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team.

Next stop, Misano Test.

🇨🇿 Saturday in Most

It’s been a challenging day for the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team in Most. Danilo Petrucci showed strong pace in Superpole, finishing the session in P9, with Michael van der Mark, standing in for the injured Miguel Oliveira, not far behind in P12. Unfortunately, the Dutchman received a penalty for a yellow flag infringement, which dropped him to P20 for Race 1.

At the start of Race 1, Danilo immediately jumped up to P8 and was pushing hard before suffering a heavy crash, bringing out the red flag. Danilo was taken to the medical centre for assessment before being declared unfit for the rest of the weekend. We wish Danilo a speedy recovery alongside Miguel. Michael van der Mark improved on his starting position and brought the bike home in P14.
