🇮🇪Expression of interest form now open🇮🇪

The Ireland Under-20s Mixed & Open teams will be competing at the World Junior Ultimate Championships (WJUC) in Spain this Summer. The expression of interest form for players can be found at the link in our bio.

Ireland sent two teams to the recent European Indoor Championships. Both teams fought hard through the group stages to reach quarter finals.
The Open team lost a tight game to Germany, the eventual winners, before taking home 7th place and the Spirit of the Game award.

The women’s team beat Belgium in their quarter final before falling just short of a medal with a loss to Austria in the bronze game.

Congratulations to all the players and coaches for representing the Irish Ultimate community proudly.

Ireland’s Women’s and Open’s indoor teams will be competing at EUIC in Amsterdam this week, facing some of the strongest teams on the continent.

Open Indoor Intervarsities took place on the 22nd and 23rd of November, featuring 16 teams from 8 different colleges.

After an exciting final, UCD 1 took home the gold medals against hosts UCC 1. DCU 1 managed to come out on top of the 3rd/4th playoff, claiming bronze against TCD 1.

TUD 1 were the division’s spirit winners, showcasing their excellent sportsmanship over the weekend.

A big thank you goes out to the hosts, UCC, for running the event!

Mixed Indoor Intervarsities was excellently attended this year, taking place on the 15th and 16th of November with 21 teams representing 9 different colleges!

UCD 1 took down UL in a brilliant final to take home the trophy, with TCD 1 claiming the bronze medals against DCU 1.

Displaying great sportsmanship and attitude throughout, TUD 2 won spirit for the division.

Finally, thank you to DCU for hosting this year’s event!

Women’s Indoor Intervarsities took place on the 25th and 26th of October, with 10 teams competing from 7 colleges.

TUD claimed their first IVs title after a thrilling final against UCD 1, while TCD 1 took bronze against a strong UL side in the 3rd/4th playoff.

The spirit displayed across the board was excellent, but UG came out on top, congratulations!

A big thank you goes out to UG as well who hosted the event!

Last month, Ireland sent an Open team to Portimão, Portugal, to take on the World Beach Ultimate Championships!

The team took a strong route, battling through the world’s best teams in upper pools, on their way to an admirable 12th place finish!

Congratulations to all of the players and staff involved in this excellent result! A huge thank you also goes out to the supporters who made the trip overseas to spur the team on.

The IFDA AGM is taking place this Saturday, the 13th of December!

It will be taking place in PG11, Purcell House, All Hallows Campus, DCU and will kick off at 5:30pm. To sign up, please fill out the AGM Submissions Form linked in our bio.

If you would like to attend online, sign up as above and you will be sent a Microsoft Teams link to join.

The meeting will aim to finish at 8pm. There are spaces booked in The Bald Eagle Gastropub for those in attendance after the event. We hope to see you all there!

The World Beach Ultimate Championships kicks off tomorrow in Portimão, Portugal!

Ireland will be competing in the Open division and will be kicking off the campaign against vice-champions of the world, Spain, on Sunday.

The IFDA are delighted to present the second of two teams that will be flying over to the European Ultimate Indoor Championships (EUIC 2026); the Senior Open Indoor National Team.

The tournament will be taking place in Amsterdam from the 29th of January to the 1st of February.
