📊 More Data Doesn’t Always Mean Better Understanding
GPS data can tell us how far a player ran, how fast they moved or how intense their effort was.
But numbers alone cannot explain the Game.
Before interpreting physical performance, we need to ask:
⚽ What were we trying to achieve in our team’s Game?
🧠 Why did this player produce these numbers?
🔄 Where are we in the performance–fatigue–recovery relationship?
Because the same number can mean different things for different players, moments and contexts.
The challenge is not simply to measure more.
It is to connect context + team + player + data and understand what the numbers actually mean within the Game.
