This week's highlight features the Top30 pigeons from the AGD Winter 2026 Semi-Final, one of the most selective races of the entire season.
At a distance of 409 km, the pigeons faced a race with almost no wind, comfortable temperatures and good humidity levels. There were no major weather factors to influence the outcome. It was a race that simply allowed the best pigeons to shine.
The first pigeons arrived after approximately five hours of flying, showing clear signs of the effort invested in reaching home. Endurance, recovery ability, orientation and determination became the decisive factors.
The first drop consisted of 16 warriors arriving together, followed four minutes later by a lone ranger in 17th position and, one minute later, another group of 29 pigeons. From there, the arrivals continued steadily throughout the afternoon.
Only pigeons capable of maintaining top performance deep into the season could secure a place among the Top30 Semi-Final pigeons.
