Ramps4Champs is an Erasmus+ co-funded initiative, aiming to guide on how to organise safe and inclusive Boccia BC3 activities including both people with disabilities and their able-bodied peers.

📍 As part of the M.O.RE Summit – Masters of Retail, members of LOUD ΚοινΣΕπ ένταξης and athletes from ΑΣ ΑμεΑ ΑΕΤΟΙ Θεσσαλονίκης presented their work and activities to representatives of businesses and organisations, while also promoting boccia through the project . 🏆

👥 The event brought together more than 200 participants and provided an important opportunity for awareness-raising, networking and meaningful dialogue with stakeholders from the business sector.

🎯 A key objective of our participation was to encourage greater business engagement and highlight the important role companies can play in promoting:

♿ social accessibility
🤝 inclusion
🏅 inclusive sports

Because meaningful change begins when organisations, athletes, businesses and society work together to create a world where everyone belongs. 🌍💙

The strategy is introduced in a simple and accessible way, exploring:
🔵 positioning
⚪direction
🔴the power of shots
⚪different ways of achieving objectives in the game

Accuracy is developed through practical activities that encourage control, concentration and individual improvement, always prioritising personal progress over competition.

Throughout the sessions, participants are also encouraged to make decisions, choose between different options and adapt their actions in the face of new challenges. These experiences help to develop:

👍problem-solving skills

Inclusion remains the central focus of all activities, ensuring that every participant, regardless of their abilities, can actively participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes.

The module also promotes working in pairs and small groups, reinforcing communication, cooperation and joint decision-making.

The main objective is to encourage increasingly conscious, active and meaningful participation, whilst always maintaining a positive, inclusive and mutually supportive environment. 🎯

Exploring BC3 Boccia: Basic Skills in Practice
It's time to get into action!

This module introduces the basic skills of BC3 Boccia in a practical way, with a continued focus on inclusion and active participation.
Once trust and team spirit have been established, participants will begin to explore fundamental game techniques, such as:

🔵 Ball control
🔴 Direction
🔵 Positioning
🔴 Basic accuracy

Our Focus: The goal is not to achieve technical perfection, but rather to enable each participant to find their own way of playing and progress at their own pace.

Activities are carefully adapted to individual abilities, encouraging experimentation, autonomy, and learning through practice!

Throughout the sessions, we don't just train the game itself. Participants also work on cooperation and mutual support, helping their peers and sharing their experiences in a safe and respectful environment.

Sport can and should be accessible, inclusive, and meaningful for everyone! 🎯

Training educators to deliver inclusive BC3 programmes
Ramps4Champs 2.0 School Edition continues to strengthen inclusive sport education through a dedicated Training of Trainers module for:

🔵 Educators and schoolteachers
⚪ Trainers and sport operators
🔴 Inclusion and support staff
This training module is essential to:
• Promote meaningful participation and peer-mediated inclusion
• Explore differentiated teaching strategies and BC3-specific participation options
• Deliver inclusive ramp-based BC3 activities in school settings
• Apply practical coaching methods, role rotation and activity progressions Provide ready-to-use tools for immediate implementation in schools

Participants engage in practical labs and interactive activities while gaining access to lesson plan templates, activity cards, observation sheets and support materials designed to create more inclusive and accessible learning environments.

Safeguarding and inclusive support in BC3 Boccia
Ramps4Champs 2.0 School Edition continues to promote inclusive and safe sport practices through a dedicated training module for:
🔴 Teachers
⚪ Coaches
🔵 School and sport support staff
This training module is essential to:
• Understand motor disabilities and BC3 classification
• Promote safeguarding and respect for athletes’ right
• Strengthen ethical and responsible support practices
• Recognise the role of ramp operators in BC3 participation
• Create safer and more inclusive learning and training environments

Through practical learning activities, participants develop the knowledge and skills needed to support BC3 athletes in both school and sport contexts.

2nd Meeting – Ramps4Champs 2.0 | School Edition

On February 9–10, 2026, the 2nd in-person meeting of the Erasmus+ project “Ramps4Champs 2.0 – School Edition” took place in Thessaloniki.
Partners came together for inclusive Boccia (BC3) activities with local athletes, testing the project ramps in schools, and evaluating the results of the first project year during a working session at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

🇮🇹 The next meeting will take place in Italy.
🇪🇺 Project funded by the European Union.

By involving key actors from the start, the project builds a strong foundation for sustainable and inclusive BC3 practices in schools.
