2nd Meeting – Ramps4Champs 2.0 | School Edition

On February 9–10, 2026, the 2nd in-person meeting of the Erasmus+ project “Ramps4Champs 2.0 – School Edition” took place in Thessaloniki.
Partners came together for inclusive Boccia (BC3) activities with local athletes, testing the project ramps in schools, and evaluating the results of the first project year during a working session at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

🇮🇹 The next meeting will take place in Italy.
🇪🇺 Project funded by the European Union.

🏁 Onboarding schools and stakeholders across Europe
Ramps4Champs 2.0 has entered the onboarding phase, engaging:
🏫 Schools
🏅 Sport associations
🏛️ Public authorities
This phase is essential to:
📌 Present BC3 and project objectives
📌 Strengthen cooperation with inclusion-focused organisations
📌 Identify needs and barriers in school environments
📌 Prepare inclusive learning settings for upcoming activities
By involving key actors from the start, the project builds a strong foundation for sustainable and inclusive BC3 practices in schools.

🧩 Focus Groups: shaping inclusive sport together
Ramps4Champs 2.0 is organising national focus groups involving:
👩‍🏫 School teachers
🏅 Sport coaches and trainers
🏛️ Public authorities and institutional stakeholders
These focus groups provide a space to:
✔️ Share experiences
✔️ Identify challenges in adopting BC3 in schools
✔️ Co-create inclusive solutions for school sport
Participants actively contribute to shaping more accessible and inclusive educational and sporting environments.

🎯 Who does Ramps4Champs 2.0 address?

🏅 Why BC3 matters in school environments
BC3 is a Paralympic sport designed for athletes with severe physical disabilities — but it is also a powerful educational tool.
In schools, BC3:

✔️ Promotes cooperation and empathy
✔️ Breaks down physical and social barriers
✔️ Creates truly inclusive learning environments

💙 Inclusive sport is built by people, not labels.
At the 35th Primary School of Thessaloniki, approximately 35 participants concluded the Boccia BC3 journey with Eleftheria supporting the experience as a ramp operator 😊🟠 Through calm guidance and teamwork, the game once again showed that everyone has a meaningful role on the court. This final activity was implemented by LOUD ΚοινΣΕπ ένταξης together with ΑΣ ΑμεΑ ΑΕΤΟΙ Θεσσαλονίκης, leaving behind connection, understanding and genuine smiles ✨

🎯 High level sport can also open big conversations.
At the 4th High School of Toumba approximately 40 students explored Boccia BC3 through a joint presentation by George, Boccia champion, and Eleftheria, ramp operator 🟠💬 Together, they highlighted the balance between athletic decision making and technical support, challenging stereotypes about disability and performance. Implemented by LOUD ΚοινΣΕπ ένταξης alongside ΑΣ ΑμεΑ ΑΕΤΟΙ Θεσσαλονίκης, the session turned sport into a powerful tool for awareness and dialogue 🔍
