Close to scenic beaches, surf spots and places of cultural interest, the houses are the perfect getaway for your holiday away from the crowds. Our guests receive a wholesome breakfast that will leave you full of energy for your day. Every week we have a bbq, pizza night or other joint dinners, where everybody is invited to join us. The villa kitchens, BBQ and Pizza Oven are free to use for everyone to prepare your own meals. There are several good restaurants in the area that we are happy to recommend to you. The Maverick I is our main villa built in 2013. The 6 luxurious private suites and rooms with ensuite or shared bathrooms offer accommodation for up to 15 guests. Summer or winter, comfort is guaranteed – the Maverick I has central floor heating and a fireplace, amongst other features. The house offers spacious communal areas which give you the opportunity of mixing with other guests. On the various terraces and balconies you’ll will surely find a spot all day to enjoy the sun or watch the sunset in the evening. The Maverick II and III are the new addition to the family. They are the perfect choice for active people (surfers and no-surfers) who like fun, beach, nature, sea, and most of all, a good and socializing atmosphere. The houses have a lively, warm and welcoming feel and are appropriate for all: solo travelers, couples and groups. Each villa has 4 rooms for 2, 3 or 4 people that are available with private or shared bathroom for a maximum of 12 guests. The houses can be booked by whole groups as well. Activities

The Maverick is located close to Portugal's best surf spots for all levels from beginners to advanced surfers. There are many beaches within 10-15 min driving distance to choose from whether you are surfing, beach walking or sunbathing. Our Surf team of locals who have been surfing in the area for more than 30 years are happy to point you to the best spots. Book your surf course with us! Our surf package includes 20 hours of coaching for all levels on 5 days. You can choose the days freely during your stay, which gives you the option to take a day of rest, visit Lisbon or enjoy one of the other activities available at the Maverick. We encourage our guests to include a rest day after the first two days´. For example - a 5 day course is 2 days surfing, 1 days rest and 3 days surfing. While the standard group size at surf schools is usually 8+ students per instructor, at the Maverick we believe in a low student-to-instructor ratio (5/1) to ensure you receive the attention you need and improve your surfing quickly. We include a video analysis session during the week (minimum 3 days course) which can make a massive and positive difference to your surfing skills learning curve. While it's fun to see yourself surf, it's also very motivating and a great coaching tool. The video footage and all pictures are available for free at the end of the course. Our licensed surf instructors are passionate about what we are doing. We want you have the best surf experience possible. It’s all about fun but safety will be top priority! YOGA - we will have you feeling blissed out in no time. At the Maverick, we believe that Yoga can improve the strength, flexibility and balance in the mind and the body, which will be helpful for your surf skills. Our Yoga instructor will be offering either Yoga classes in the morning or after the surf courses in the evening. You can either book our Surf&Yoga package or decide to join when you are here in one of our accommodations. The yoga classes are suitable for beginners as well as more practiced yogis. Yoga sessions are €12 and will be held with a minimum of 3 participants or as private classes for €30. The lessons are one hour and they are open to anyone who is interested during his or her stay at the Maverick. They incorporate strengthening and releasing poses, working specific areas of the body that are required for surfing. You will also work on breathing awareness and relaxation techniques. Yoga is a great tool to bring with you out in the water, as it will improve your ability to catch waves and find the balance out there once you get the wave. The yoga lessons are held on our yoga platform in the garden with beautiful view to the countryside or in our wintergarden.
